Why do blood work?

Other than doing blood work, what do you do if something doesn’t look right anyway? I mean if you are feeling fine and the cycle is only for a few weeks anyway, why are you doing blood work? Are you going to stop taking the steroids in the middle of your cycle? Are you going to lower the dose or try a different steroid? Everyone talks about blood work but I don’t really hear what people do about it. But I haven’t really gotten to the point where I’ve tried different cycles and seen how they affect me on paper or in my own life experience so I haven’t really looked for much of that info. But I just find it funnY because it doesn’t seem like there are many options other than take an AI or stop or reduce the amount of steroids you are taking. Does it just make people feel better to see the numbers looking all pretty or whatever? Because I don’t think this shit is good for you anyway. I mean, you take Superdrol and you do bloodwork and you expect everything to look fine and if it looks fine you actual believe that shit?

So to summarize.

The overall tone indicates a belief that the options following blood work are limited and possibly ineffective, and there's a hint of cynicism about the health implications of steroid use and the reliance on blood work to monitor health during their use. The user admits they haven't experimented much with different steroid cycles or extensively researched this topic, but they are curious about the actual impact of blood work in these scenarios.

I am skeptical that you will read my words but Blood work is not just about "looking pretty" on paper. It's a tool to monitor vital health markers that can be affected by steroid use, such as liver function, cholesterol levels, hormone balance, and more. These factors can significantly impact your health, often without immediate symptoms.

If your blood work indicates a problem, it's important to take it seriously. This might mean adjusting dosages, switching compounds, or even stopping use altogether to protect your health. Make an informed decision.

Prioritize your long-term health over short-term physical or performance goals.

Word @pigeonhed

Another useful thing about blood work is having a reference for the future.
Say you find something that you feel good on, but trashes your blood work.
Without the bloods you might think you’ve found the holy grail and run the shit out of that combo for a long time doing even more damage.

with sincerity….are you retarded? Like…horse kicked you when you were little…or mom couldn’t put down the crack pipe while you were in the womb?

No. I’m not. You are. I just think that your bloodwork is going to be shit because your on steroids and that you shouldn’t be doing that because its bad for you. I get you are trying to reduce harm but I wanted to know what people actually do when something is wrong. So that answers my question. All you do is change compounds, stop taking, or reduce dosage. Unless you have something to add to that?

I mean from what I’ve heard your blood work is shit on oral steroids or tren or winstrol or something but when you come off it, it pretty much goes back to normal. That’s why people don’t stay on it forever. That’s why they cycle it. It makes sense you would maybe not do that cycle again if it gave you bad blood test results. That’s another great point.

But if you really wanted great bloodwork you would probably just stick to test, primo, hgh or maybe some anavar or something anyway. Not that that would ensure perfect bloodwork but you could expect better results than taking winstrol or something surely. Clearly my comment was more productive and intelligent than yours which was unproductive and insulting. Since I admitted already that I don’t have experience with this which also shows I’m more honest and modest in my approach to attempts at any kind intellectual conversation that you appear to be incapable of.

You Clearly don't see the ego with which you're expressing your self. Take a closer objective look at this paragraph.

You're a total and utter noob, there is seriously little to no validity behind your summations. While you are expressing a degree of humility by acknowledging you're a newb, you're still being pretty assertive and overall dismissive towards the whole topic of "bloods" and this is why you're getting flack. You're showing a degree of borderline personality traits by what you're doing.

The topic is also too dismissive towards one of the main pillars of the harm reduction community and other newbs might get some wrong ideas by reading this asininity, so this is also a reason why you're getting flak.

Well, Id like to think there's important health markers involved with blood work. Hematocrit and hemoglobin being just 2 of many. If your taking test and want to know your response between your total test and free test or e2 then sure maybe you don't need the work every 2 months. However, dismissal of blood work completely seems a little wrong. I'm also new to this and understand the importance of blood work. Id like to know where in your research you decided it was almost pointless?

#YOLO

On a serious note, it can be a pain in the ass to get bloodwork in Germany so i can relate.
It is not even that.
I really thought about it extensively, like: when I get a bad bloodwork back, would I even change a thing? Like if I gotta stop or go on TRT, would I even do it?

I had a similar mentality for the first few years I was in this game.

There are things you can do aside from stopping or going on TRT, but yes when you see it on paper and realize you are doing some damage it does create a shift in approach whether you want to or not.

For me this effect became stronger the more people depending on me, specifically my spouse, she is financially independent but relies on me heavily in other ways. A life insurance policy smacked me in the face a few years ago with some bloodwork and I took action to go in the other direction.

You learn to approach your bloodwork the same way you approach the gym, attempting to make gains. I take anywhere from 25-40 OTC pills in addition to some BP meds (should have got on the BP meds much sooner in life) and bloodwork shows me the "gains" or rather effect of those support supplements.

Knowledge trumps desire eventually. My cravings for bad food have all but disappeared after watching the positive effects of a healthy diet on my labs and I use to be a binge eater of pure shit food. I use to be a high dose long duration tren addict, think I lasted on it a total of 8 weeks this last 10 moths, split 4 and 4. Lower doses too. Perspective shifts when you see it on paper and put the time in researching the results and implications.

Now you can see from my post history, I still mess with high doses that I arguably dont need but keeping an eye on my bloodwork has allowed me that freedom so long as I take counter measures or do a little give and take. Speaking of which, I am due for labs :)

Edit - I am not an example of how to do things safely. I would argue the opposite, I am an example of somehow who is rather reckless but... getting's labs has allowed me at the least to reduce the damage of my reckless choices.

Just depends on what value a person may put on their long term health as to whether to get blood work done. My blood work, cholesterol BP etc were good on cycle. If it wasn't i had several options available to me as i planned on being in this game long term to some degree.

Right, I have an ego problem but this fool doesn’t?

Man 25-40 pills sounds like a lot. Ya I guess I’m noticing more when I eat like crap I sorta feel like I’m gonna die. I think I’ll get a blood test. Or “work”.

Wasn't talking about him and wasn't comparing the two of you, but I agree; his response was juvenile. What I wrote about your OP and your subsequent writing still holds and has little to nothing to do with that guys response.

Sometimes it’s better to just sit back and let natural selection do its thing.

You don’t have to do blood work, you’re a grown man and can make your own decisions. You’re free to do what you want. Just like you’re free to take up heroin or meth. It’s your health and your life.

But this is a stupid question.
