Why MESO is tough on sources

We got paid $200 from January until Corona if we covered both ASF and IMF.

When the virus hit and sponsors started dropping, that stopped.

Most of us, yourself included, had been doing it for free long before and would have continued, and did, to do so afterwards.

It was just a gesture from him for his appreciation. Weren't any post counts attached or anything like that. Just the honor system to keep traffic flowing.

Just wanted to clarify that part.

At least they are identified. Every other board the sources are handing out free gear to a lot of unidentified members...we call them "Shills". ASF is good enough to give us a sort of score card so we can tell who the players are.

Not all mods can see ip's.

Also, not all mods can edit or delete threads or conversations.

Mods being reps is fine IF, the other mods handle situations involving the lab they rep for.

Typically, if you are a rep, then you don't handle any infractions in your section and, an unaffiliated mod does this.

This is part of the reason I handled the PSL situation along with the fact that if I hadn't, it would have turned into a bigger shit show and absolutely nothing would have happened possibly.

If you have mods who aren't afraid to call people on their shit, and have integrity, it's a non issue imo but, that's just my opinion from what I've seen in my years as a mod and rep at ASF.

yeah, that's a close one- 200 likely not- 500 or more, yeah I could maybe compromise my principles.
Seriously though I would not ever EVER want to be a mod or rep on just about any board. Not worth the bullshit- you would have to pay me a ton. Bottom line is you can't please everyone and there will always be someone pissed at you.

Imagine if I had bought T4 from psl how much that would mess my thyroid up even more than it is? I have a prescription so I wouldn’t be buying it anyways But it’s scary that their T4 came back with a big 0!
I welcome you guys here. Here’s a quick snap shot of my story. I started at BOP and got scammed by the only two labs I bought from. One happened to be dbol rather than var. Then I came here and a member scammed me. Meso community was absolutely wonderful to me. That member is no longer here. However, it became my quest to make sure people don’t get scammed.

Damn...supps for females have to be very carefully vetted as the wrong substance will really put you at risk. Meso is always for harm reduction and info about sources is routinely shared here.

Sounds like a terrible place. Crazy that a rep has any mod like powers. Imo you should be one or the other. Can only imagine what it’s like to be on a board where a rep can run around in different “sections” with authority.

I know of his past and business dealings but, that doesn't effect me.

Since I've been a mod, I have seen him do plenty of good things for the community. In all instances up until this point, if I brought him info about a source that I thought was hurting the community, he removed those sponsors.

IA, Hammer, Prime and a couple other small sources that were working on exit scams.

I can't speak for him but, i believe he thinks this was a fuck up and they served their penance from the thrashing they took which in turn will lead to a lot of lost business on ASF. ASF has always been member driven retribution. It's never been on the staff to punish sources, bad blood work, late packs and so on UNLESS it's habitual.

Again, I'm not defending anyone, I'm not trashing anyone, I'm just stating what it is.

Good points- again I would never want to be a mod there- too much BS- I am not leaving that board though. There are enough good people there and if you pay attention you can see for the most part when sources turn shitty or have their rough patches.
I will say I will split my time there though- spend more time here and a few other spots- asf is still a good board IMO- enough non shitty mods like you @Montego2 and some others.

Up until the point that they kill someone, a murderer isn't a murderer.

I get what you're saying, but throwing small sources off of the board has negligible financial impact. The true mark of a person's character is when they have a choice between integrity or an impactful financial interest.

He chose to chase the money. That really says it all about where his true allegiances lie. I can't support a person like that in good conscience -- especially considering that he flipped on his business partners.

I tend to believe having mods like @Montego2 and @sherk at ASF is a good thing. I get some staff may have had enough but new members....all members...are better off having mods that can think for themselves and who haven't abandoned their moral compass.
We've seen boards run by the owners lap dogs. It's disgusting. Makes me wanna puke. These guys are their own men and think for themselves.
I don't see how a replacement for either of them would be good for members? Members would be trading down. I hope they stay on board and keep things as fair as possible.
