Why would I need to fast for this test?

What reading would get thrown off if I did not fast 12 hours prior? I am focused on FSH, LH, Test and Estradiol. Will those readings be impacted by not fasting?

I believe the biggest thing that is affected by eating is glucose. I ate and 9 hours later had mine drawn and everything else looked normal. Of course that’s just me and a doctor would probably say otherwise.

The only test is glucose out of those particular tests. Of course stay well hydrated, drink plenty of plain old water with nothing else.

Keep in mind, you will need to get an estradiol sensative test to get an accurate estradiol reading. With the low levels in males the standard test is not accurate. Do some research on it. Also there is a video series ask the doc on youtube, watch some of the ai/estrogen/bloodwork related vids. He states in one of the more recent vids that he has literally seen nearly a 200 point difference between an estradiol sensative and estradiol from the same bloodwork. This is in pg/ml so that is a massive difference.

Found it for you, starts are 9:30 of the video where he talks about this. There is a few years of content from this doc on youtube so you can definitely learn a lot from them.

More plates more dates has also posted a decent video on this.

Just found it after reading your post. Good info for sure. He also has a new video posted about the LC/MS Test results vs the standard, in the same bloodwork. Never knew there could be such a huge variable there. He literally shut himself down just running nandrolone only with no test and the standard test showed basically a normal test levels while LC/MS showed test at next to nothing with a level of 20 ng/dl

Thanks very much for the tip. These are the options I'm seeing. So it sounds like from your video and doing some research I should choose the ultrasensitive one even though it doesn't mention it being for males?

@Sss23
Yep, the top test is great. It's pretty much the one I use minus prolactin, but that costs about $20 more and you may not even be interested in it. I will be getting the one you linked at the top next time as well.

Also if thats privatemdlabs be sure you search for there 15% off coupon, they always have one going. The code is most likely Feb20
