Wife Crippled Me

Thought this was funny. I made my pre-workout drink and other stuff I drink today as usual and trained back. Half way through my session my biceps and forearms were starting to cramp up really bad. My arms have never cramped up before, ever. I tried upping my taurine up to 5,000 mg's pre workout to ease the lower back pumps I've been getting since starting this cycle and was wondering if that is what caused it. I was pretty sure that supposed to somewhat do the opposite and looked it up when I got home. Nope. At this point, just bringing my arms above my head or using them at all, they would cramp up painfully and go away 30 seconds or so after putting them at my sides and not using the muscles what so ever. I went to fill my coffee machine for tomorrow with the jug of water I used earlier, which Is always in the kitchen and what I use but I notice its fucking distilled water. I go straight to the wife and ask her whats up. She tells me she accidentally put that water in the kitchen instead of the bathroom. Not sure what the hell she uses that for but whatever. I google distilled water and yeah, it strips your body of minerals, minerals like potassium, electrolytes etc. I was a little concerned there for a minute because thats never happened to me before. Anyways, mistakes happen, I forgave her and shit. LOL.Thought it was kinda funny.

Thats total bullshit, drinking distilled water will not harm you. Nor cause aches. You don't get your vitamins & minerals from water, you get it from food. Have you ever heard a Dr tell little Johnny "drink water for your vitamins"

What electrolytes are in water?

I don't know... if you're pretty dehydrated I think I could believe it. Not necessarily caused by the distilled water, it just probably isn't helping you hydrate as much as spring water would.

She probably uses distilled to clean with.

You run a lab. Tell me what damage will occur from drinking distilled water.

Distilled water is just clean water. Guess you can throw some mud in the water, if you think that will make it healthier!

There is not "standard" to spring water.

Distilled water is not going to clean anything better than regular water for all practical purposes. I take a shower with water... does that make it deadly I use water to clean myself with.

Most of this BS info about distilled water comes from the RO( reverse osmosis) companies who don't want you to buy a distiller. It's all a sales pitch, backed by zero evidence and zero logic. The RO companies make tons of $ selling you replacement filters. As with most stuff, follow the $ to find out where info comes from... and it's now always the truth.

Do you know what the word distilled means? Look it up to start. Water is full of minerals, including calcium. Long term use of distilled water will leach calcium, and other minerals, from your body.

There's no need to reinvent the wheel here. This is a long established medical fact. Use google.

I said she probably uses it to clean with, not that tap water is deadly or that it'll kill you...

Does it clean anything better than any other type of water? I have no idea... distilled is typically used for any kind of sanitation and it's the only reason I could think of that it would be in the bathroom. I don't have a water softener at my house so the water actually creates a mess to clean up on a monthly basis.

I also have no idea what BS info you're referring to in your RO vs DS water conspiracy. As far as the FDA is concerned, they're basically the same.

Again, I didn't say their was. My point was, like I said, distilled water probably isn't as hydrating as spring water. You can get cramps if you're not hydrated... regardless of what water you're drinking really, but probably it could happen faster if you're just drinking distilled water.

It’s not the distilled water it’s the cyanide she laced it with :)

You literally can drink distilled water without any adverse effects as long as you are getting sufficient amounts of minerals.
And you get that from your foods primarily
Do you know what the word distilled means? Look it up to start. Water is full of minerals, including calcium. Long term use of distilled water will leach calcium, and
Yes its filled with lots of stuff! VOC's, Alum ( a chemical they put in a lot of city water to cause the dirt to coagulate to the bottom) and potentially anything else, since your water you drink is tested basically for only a handful of chemicals once a month and turbidity.

There is no scientific research saying distilled water will "leach" anything from your body. Once you drink water/distilled water, by the time it gets into your cells its been adjusted for PH, etc. Once again.. you will not find any reasonable medical study saying distilled water "leaches" minerals from your body.

If it leaches minerals, then, I assume it's not smart, so it would leach everything other bad stuff. they then would prescribe distilled water to leach all the other bad stuff, in case of poisons, etc from your body.. and they don't.

All I ask is one scientific study showing distilled water leaches minerals out of your body.

Water has been the arena of Snake oil salesmen from day 1.

Reverse Osmosis takes the minerals out of water.... yet many people use those for drinking water.

Here is what the World Health Organization says:

Demineralisedwater is highly aggressive and if untreated, its distribution through pipes and storage tanks would not be possible. The aggressive water attacks the water distribution piping and leaches metals and other materials from the pipes and associated plumbing materials.

THEY ARE NOT REFERING TO YOUR WINDPIPE or any organ of your body!

Once again.. show me one SCIENTIFIC PUBLISHED STUDY that stays distilled water LEACHES minerals from your body! It does not supply minerals, then again.. you tend to get those from FOODS not dirty water.

Don't be an idiot and think you're clever. Fucking google it yourself.

It happened, and I believe the distilled water is what did it. I was fully hydrated like I mentioned and there is no other explanation of why the cramps occurred. I drank regular water today and no cramping occurred what so ever.

I just remembered that I did Landmine rows which I haven't done in years because everything was taken. That might be why my arms cramped up like they never have before.
