Workout drinks

This might seem to be a dumb question to some people but I'm wondering what kind of drinks do you have while you workout? Like, I usually make a drink specifically for my lifting. It's gatorade powder mixed with water and liquid amino acids. Its kind of like an energy drink but my own special mix. I was thinking of making one with unflavored creatine, gatorade, and liquid amino acids mixed together. Does anybody else make their own type of drink?
 
Na,I dont drink sugar drinks while I workout {or any other time}.
Have a preworkout meal or drink if you are on a low cal diet,then drink water at the gym,so's you dont get dehydrated.
Working out is the time to exercise the muscles not consuming calories.
 
i drink the energy drinks that you get out of the machines in the gym,is this ok people ? or is there a better drink that i could be drinking ?
 
I just have a big healthy meal 1hr before training.
Biggerbuddie, if you stick to your weight gain diet then I don't see the extra carb hurting you but a good pre-workout meal with slow release carb's should suffice (fast release carbs tend to make one tired).

As a post script, I find if I ask my questions in my own thread I tend to get more responses than if I post a Q in somebody else's thread.
