Within 2 years I had 3 coaches (incl. a famous one), 10 sophisticated AAS cycles, a 2 years long diet for bulking without getting fat (diet changed some times but was always for "lean bulking"), a lot of supps to drive nutrients into muscles and not into fat cells (ALA, avandia, chromium, creon) ; here are my stats :
sept. 2002 : 70 kg with 10 % bf = 63 kg LBM
dec. 2003 : 77 kg with 25 % bf = 58 kg LBM
sept. 2004 : 89 kg with 31 % bf = 62 kg LBM
2 years hard work (my coaches praised me), AAS and diet = lost 1 kg LBM, got 20 kg fat (plus a lot of water)
I got some fat during each of my cycles (incl. with gh) and got some more during pct while losing LBM. Most fat is on the waist and under the pectorals.
I'm a diabetic (>3 insulin shots a day) and I'm old (57 y).
I'm puzzled anyway. I suppose I've got too much or too little of some hormone.

Sorry to hear about your problem bro. Something was really off for you to put that kind of body fat on while dieting / cycling and training. I have never had luck with anything sophisticated (including my women) the more simple things are, the better they seem to work with me. I keep all of my cycles simple and basic, I have had great results from that.

Good Luck Bro, keep your head up and keep working at your goals.

I forgot to tell you that I've been taking 2 cynomels and one levotyrox ED since sept. 2002 (at that time it was a different brand)

Have you had your testosterone and T3 levels checked when you weren't on any cycles? Sounds like something is askew with your hormone levels. At your age you're already a candidate for TRT.

Since you're taking insulin injections, I'm assuming you're a type I dabetic. Have you considered getting an insulin pump? Some members of my family are also type I's and going on the pump has really made a difference in their weight control and overall health.

GeeBee52 ive read quite a few of your posts lately in the anabolic and nutrition forums

first let me say you seem like a good guy
so i will give you my honest opinion and tell you what you need to hear
instead of what you may want to hear.. no disrespect to you personally

#1 the no fat or no carb diet you mention ... totally sucks
I can explain why but to save space i'll just say trust me

# 2 after 2 years hard work and your coaches , whether famous or not you claim they praised you ..
but if in the last 2 years you BF% has raised by 20% and you lost 2 pounds of muscle while doing 10 aas cycles ??????
so they were either patronizing you or did not want to admit that they failed ( miserably i might ad ) to help you acheive your goals

personally i would recomend finding a trainer with experience in
training and nutrition that is needed by a diabetic
here is a start.. best of luck

bump that........to be honest, i am a personal trainer, and if you were a client of mine i would be very upset. not all on you, mostly on myself for not doing my job!! the no carb, no fat thing... garbage bro. check some reaserch on maybe the south beach. itll rid that extra fat, but up the protein grams equal to your body weight.
dont give up bro...

That's insane something is very very wrong even if you did get fatter you still should have been gaining some muscle! better listen to these guys here.

remember that steroids make you store alot of intracellular triglycerides (fat in your muscles). this is not a bad thing, just a normal effect. if you're doing a bodyfat test with one of those electro things that sends a current thru your body this would be a big reason your bf% went up. go by your measurements more than bf%. did your waistline get bigger? how about the rest of your measurements?

also, what kind of steroids did you take? did you take antiestrogens with them? what kind of growth hormone did you use?

Well bro I understand your delima. I have been on a strict weight loss program and here is how i messed up. To date I have lost 40 pounds out of that 20 pounds was lbm. While in the middle of a cycle i started cutting back on food intake and increasing cardio, and the fat was coming right off and I was maintaining or even gaining lbm, every week the doc was happy as hell. Once the cycle ended, and I kept on the diet I was loosing 80% lbm and 20% fat. I had to increase my protein and cut back on the cardio to 3 days a week. Also before and after my workouts I have a protein shake, and now I'm loosing mostly fat not lbm. This is what worked and didnt work for me, hope this helps some.

Homer

Because most of my cycles were short cycles (on month) ==> one month on month off .
thanks Homer, I was just going to do what made you lose 20 lb lbw!!
Hypertophiac, your questions are interesting and I'll answer later properly

I don't question the 10 in 2 years as much as I question why you are using steroids to begin with. Did you train for several years before this 2 year period or did you just start up with AS right when you began training?
