as sad as my life is and youll find out how even sadder it is :) the first thing that was on my mind this morning apart from every obvious guys mind was gym, gear and nutrition but mostly these weighgainer powders and this is what i thought.

lets take 2 of them for example.

1. N-Large - 2 x 33g serving = 300 cals
2. Boditronics Nutopia 2 x 33g serving = 275 cals

now take a whey protein product

smartec whey fx - 2 x 33g serving = 256 cals and a lot more protein

so whats the big difference apart from the junk they stick in weight gainers compared to the cals in a low suger, low carb whey powder?

it was just something i never compared or analysed before

I've been shocked in the past when looking at the profiles of some of these gainers Andy. The amount of sugar in these things is outrages, and the cholesterol isn't far behind. I wouldn't be surprised if long term use of these gainers could lead to problems such as diabetes and what not. This was one of my goals with the PB post, making your own gainer out of your protein shake with natural healthy foods is the way to go. :D
