No, immunogenicity only happens when aggregates are in the same size range as a bacteria or virus body.

0.1 um to 100 um, although the most likely to cause immunity are 0.5um to 10 um.

rHGH dimer is only 0.006um, almost 1000x too small to cause the problem.

.22um filtering removes 99.9% of the aggregates that could cause immunogenicity.

Do you feel like the bar keeps lowering for what we "put up with" from these Chinese resellers?

I did a kind of “archeological dig” into old posts in various places (including MESO) to the days before dimer testing, and where interest in it came from,

There were theories that rHGH sides were caused by dimer (they aren’t). The sides are a normal effect of functioning rHGH. It’s just what happens when the GH peak is too high (for a particular individual). Variation in sides from batch to batch or brand to brand is dosing variance, maybe differences in bioactivity (“pure” GH by HPLC can still be biologically inactive).

It’s still nice to know dimer, as a tiebreaker when purity and dosing is equal, or if it’s insanely high showing something is really wrong.

Dimer is the least important quality marker imo. Purity, quantity, then dimer.

You could have 0% dimer and a vial that goes cloudy because it only forms giant aggregates, instead of the smallest type (dimer, ie, two monomers).

Aggregates don’t have to follow a path of growth like two monomers getting stuck into a dimer, then trimer, oligomer etc.

During reconstitution, damaged (heat or oxygen exposure) rHGH can go from Zero monomer aggregated straight to ten million lumping up together into each aggregate, forming visible particles in an instant, and still test Zero dimer because those get filtered out prior to testing.

Meanwhile a high quality formulation could have a small amount of stable dimer, and not create any further aggregates.

In any case, it’s another huge red flag for all of the 3 letter resellers, WWB, GGB, HYB. They should’ve tested prior to selling anything, or at least say “this batch hasn’t been tested yet”. They all failed at that.

And now that you know who is back, I’m not sure any sensible buyer will risk it with any of those guys again. There was a small window of opportunity for one of them to become the next SSA/QSC, but I don’t see that happening now. They all got drunk and sloppy on the huge influx of sales after SSAs collapse.

This is the remailer they’re using (who reships the pack after it arrives in the US in a bulk container with tens of thousands of others) trying to revive an old “reusing prepaid postage barcodes” scam that got tens of thousands of packs from China confiscated a year ago or so (not just UGL goods).

It’s bad news, because USPS can open the packs without a warrant, and now it’s in the hands of US postal inspectors, not customs. Those guys have a reputation of making big cases out a small shipments of steroids that customs don’t go after:

Had a little shocker this morning. In my daily Informed Delivery email a tracking number I didn’t recognize had this status.

“Package seized by USPS for counterfeit postage and will not be delivered. Please contact the merchant or seller with any questions.”

I’m looking through all my source emails and cannot find this particular tracking number. Then I think to check Amazon. It’s tracking for a granola cereal purchased on Amazon. lol WTF??!!

Oh not this shit again. I thought the Chinese stopped playing that game a year ago.

These “counterfeit postage” busts were the prelude to other sources getting shut down a few months later, probably as the remailer rats on the companies shipping through them to get a reduced sentence for postal fraud.

Probably going to be even worse now since China has been trying to be on “good behavior” to get the 20% special tariff for drug activity eliminated (half was just taken off a month ago). It’s costing them billions and they won’t be happy to have a big pile proof of controlled substances flowing out of China shoved in their face by the US as justification for keeping the extra tariff going. Heads will roll in China if that happens, and AAS (and maybe peptide) supply issues will get worse.

I think people just needed a way to find a better quality product since purity and dosing was consistently coming back good. How else to improve further? Dimmer.
