Yet another question about 1st cycle..

What type of gains can you expect to keep after your 1st cycle?

I was thinking 500 mg of sust for 8 weeks, (per the one sticky faq)
Or
Doing 500 mg of sust for 9 weeks, with 300 mg of Deca for 8, (per the other sticky faq)

I have heard Deca helps with gain retention, but I don't know what to expect, (realistically).

I have done some research and have yet to find a good answer to this question, (sorry if I missed something posted earlier, or elsewhere).

The amount that you keep will depend on how well you do your PCT and how you adjust your training and diet during recovery. If everything is wrong, plan on losing almost all of your gains. If you time your clomid/nolva/hcg at least close, keep the protien fairly high (this is not a good time to start dieting right away), and continue training but at a much lower volume, you could keep as much as 80-90% of your gains.
 
For what it's worth, my workout partner and I have done 3 cycles and each time we have kept around 40-50% of our gains each time (I have been off for about a year now and I am pretty happy with the solid gains). Each cycle was based on Test (700 mg of either sust or ethn) with EQ or Deca and our PCT was flawless as well as our diets. We sacrified alot of our gains in order to keep our bodyfat % low.

However, size is addictive and I am about to start another cycle (wife made me stop to try and get preg)!
