Tb syringe vs insulin

So i just got a bunch of new tb 27 1/2 inch in today and noticed how much diff they are from insulin pins. On the tb the first is 1.0 and insulin 10, are the little tick marks on the tb still 1ui? And I noticed the needle can detach and it seems to hold a lot of extra in it after all the peptide is injected. Using them for ghrp2 and cjc no dac, should I stash them and get insulin pins instead? Thanks guys

I never knew there was a difference. I thought a unit was a unit. Apparently the volume in a unit differs between the two. From what i understand, a unit on a tb syringe is much smaller than a unit of insulin. Therefore, using a tb syringe would cause you to underdose yourself.

Insulin syringes. I've bought the wrong syringe before and it really pissed me off but I just had to deal with different tick marks for a while.

I was thinking the same thing, however, if you are dealing with something that you measure in IU's, you are probably loosing a lot since the tb syringes have that reservoir. I guess for some things it is not a big deal, but it definitely doesn't sound like you'd want to use them for growth hormone!

Ya that is very true. I add one ml to it and then use 3iu to pin. Sometimes I lose maybe half an IU and that can add up but since I live where I can walk into store to purchase insulin syringes for cheap it is worth not having to deal with the hassle of ordering online.

Look at the markings closely bc TB SYRINGE are in MILLILITERS while that of a INSULIN SYRINGE is in UNITS.

Moreover TB syringes are by convention only available in one size ONE ML, YET the same is NOT true of INSULIN syringes which, depending upon manufacturer, are available in 100, 30, and 50 IU sizes.

Does that matter? Not really bc 100 units equals ML!

That being said TB syringes are NOT made for pinning insulin.

The clear advantage of a TB syringe is the needle can be removed, while many insulin syringes needles are fixed into position, to prevent "pop off".

The HUGE difference in needles does exist bc TB syringes are essentially LUER LOCK while few if any insulin syringes are.

So if one tries to use a TB syringe wo a lure lock NEEDLE chances are the needle will pop, off if used for "Slinimg", because the pressures generated can be quite high.

The tendency for "pop off" is eliminated with a TB Luer Lok syringe.

Finally I've always recommended TB syringes for you SLINNERS bc they eliminate the chance of contamination bc of "backfilling", the latter being required for fixed INSULIN NEEDLE/SYRINGES.

I always wondered if people back filled them. I bought some slin needles without realizing they were fixed.

Yeah well fuck it I ended up ordering some insulin 29 1/2 inch, after getting 100 tbs damnit what a waste
Try taking them to your local needle exchange and trade them in. Also, if you're not worried take all your used works and trade them when done. Cheap, free, better. Hope this helps man.
