Police State Thread

And yes those cops are HUNGRY...:( Fukin cops are what the are..

So since "Fukin cops are what the(y) are.." it is okay for them to use excessive force?

This is not only happening in Ferguson, Missouri to black folk, it's happening all over the country to every ethnicity. A majority have been homeless or mentally ill patients left to their own due to cuts in mental health care from every administration since Nixon. There is nothing funny about this. This is real and may happen to you or someone you know down the line (God, Buddha or whomever forebid).

Kelly Thomas (the first video I posted on this thread) was unarmed, mentally ill and was not resisting arrest. I guess "Fukin cops are what the(y) are.." and we should move on and watch the next Episode of Family Guy, laugh and eat our Papa John's Pizza while having a Coke and a smile.

There are over, and probably much over, 56000 homeless vets. Who's the next, after putting his life on the line, to be shot down like a dog by our public servants. Where are all the flag wavers that chanted support our troops?

I will add this; I have many friends and periodic training partners that are cops. Mostly in the City of Detroit and surrounding suburbs. Young or old, they are pretty good guys and I have this type of discussion with them.

Their new training is geared for direct action such as these. Some of the cops I know have been taking training through Blackwater down in North Carolina (or whatever their name is now). They said to a man they were shocked how intense and militaristic the training was. Compassion is a dirty word there. Why the change in policy across the US regarding police in our local communities?

Exactly.

There is the other side of the coin also. A Detroit Cop I know was a guest on a local radio show. They asked him about his thoughts on Ferguson. Mind you he is a 20 plus year veteran of the department and is black.

He said every day they have issues that cross the line and each culture is at fault (police and black culture) for what has happening across this country. The thing that pisses him off is that everyday a black man kills another black man and "where are the protests for that?" He continued, police are trained to react nowadays without regards of the suspects well being in mind. They are to dispose of the situation as quickly as possible to almost any means they see fit (not verbatim).

He believes the Black Culture (his words) needs to change first, because the police culture will not until resistance is eradicated. Growing up in a predominately black city, I do see some changes to the black culture and even the police culture here. But this not going to be an immediate gratification.

The black culture does need to change and I think it is. Everything is cause and effect. Just like the middle east though, we are creating "new terrorist" everyday on every street in this world.

This is our country. Is this what we want from it?

How many of you if any grew up in the 50s. I got involved with a sport (business) that was predominately black. Spent most of my time in black areas like down on deep "elem" street. At that time most of my friends were black. There are parts of town that today I would't go near, nor would I be welcome. The guy inferred that he thought it was changing for the better? I really don't know but it sure feels the otherway round to me.

And you can stop referring to people as my fellow citizens and the government as MY government. I rescinded my federal citizenship over twenty years ago.

Now things are starting to make sense. You're hardcore.

You still haven't answered my question, though. From whom do you seek revenge?

And since you mentioned your past involvement with state militias, do you view Timothy" McVeigh as mentally disturbed or a hero?

A short answer is. He was a PSYCHO...And I don't have a clue as to what you mean by "hardcore". For crying out loud be more specific. :)

Jeeez CBS. I'm not "seeking" revenge from anyone. When you experience a lot of what happened back then you just want to feel that someone should have been held responsible. The someone's being the perpetrator's.
Not to mention a lot of what is going on in this generation.

This is what happens when two separate ideologies meet without being open to the others stance.

Why ask a question when you do not even want to hear the answer? The DISease of Being Right is what IS killing OUR country and world. It always has. Hopefully the paradigm shift will happen in our life time without murdering one another.

the trials of henry kissinger is a good book. I haven't seen the Documentary though. It is on Netflix.

And CBS...I've answered your question. Would you please answer mine. I have asked this of you before on another thread. And since you've accused me of being both I think we should define just what you believe makes one anti-American and anti-Semitic.

"CBS... Please define what YOU mean by "anti-American". I'm having a hard time figuring out where your coming from. And also while your at it, what do YOU mean by "anti Semitic" . Please be specific. :)"

By the way maybe you and I could meet for lunch in George Town and attend this together.

Washington - "The Israel Lobby" conference at http://IsraelLobbyUS.org

"The Israel Lobby" is an all-day conference which will take place April 10 in the National Press Club ballroom in Washington, DC. In addition to posing the question, "Is It Good for the US?" Israeli and American speakers will also ask, "Is It Good for Israel?"

Americans and Israelis are beginning to question whether Washington's unconditional support for Israel perpetuates the decades-long failure to achieve peace and stability in the region.

The United States has provided Israel with at least $115 billion in economic and military aid--$239 billion adjusted for inflation--through 2014. The US protects Israel diplomatically, often casting almost the lone dissenting vote against Palestinian UN initiatives while pressuring other states to do the same. America has looked the other way as nuclear material, technology and know-how vital to building and maintaining a nuclear arsenal have flowed to Israel. But how beneficial to Israel is such largesse and unconditional support?

Questions to be addressed by expert speakers include:

1. Does its US lobby make it possible for Israel to avoid achieving peace with its neighbors, including Palestinians?

2. Is Israel's lack of regional economic integration sustainable over coming decades?

3. Is the Iranian nuclear program the existential threat for Israel and the West it is portrayed to be in the US?

4. Do American Israel lobby donors who fund Israeli and US political campaigns and media outlets promote extremism?

5. Why does the lobby constantly conflate Judaism and Israel?

6. Why is criticism of Israeli policies acceptable in Israel but shut down on American college campuses and in the mainstream media and arts?

The conference is co-sponsored by the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, published by the American Educational Trust, and the Institute for Research: Middle Eastern Policy, Inc (IRmep).

The conference includes luncheon and is open to members of the public and news media who register in advance. Early-bird special discount tickets to this event are available until January 31 at http://israellobbyus.org/register/

Good! Glad to hear it.

Calm down, Kawilt. I was just trying to figure out if I was dealing with a moonbat. ;)

Uh.. what?! I asked the same question twice. I'd say that shows I "want[ed] to hear the answer."

I never said you were anti-American or anti-Semitic. I said some of the articles you posted were anti-American and anti-Semitic.

Washington - "The Israel Lobby" conference at http://IsraelLobbyUS.org

You mean the conference organized by the virulently anti-Israel Washington Report on Middle East Affairs (WRMEA)?

C'mon, Kawilt! Be serious! I wouldn't waste one minute of my time listening to a bunch of moonbats complaining about 'those pesky Jews.'

You mean 'uncle Tom' Jews like Norman Finkelstein. No thanks. I can stay home and puke watching that clown's incoherent anti-Semitic babble on YouTube - no need to do it in Washington.
Fair enough...Take some time when you can, if you will, and tell me specifically what an anti-semitic and an anti- American is...to you.
Thanks CBS.

That wasn't only direct at you CBS. I like a lot of your posts. Don't take it personal. Making a point, that is all.
