The owner of a Berks County gym was arrested and charged with selling meth, cocaine and steroids out of the facility and his home, authorities said.

Duane E. Curley, 46, of Mohnton, was arraigned Tuesday on charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamines and possession with intent to deliver anabolic steroids. He was sent to Berks County Jail under $250,000 bail.

Berks County Drug Task Force detectives began investigating alleged drug dealing from DC Fitness, 31 Catherine St., Shillington, about a year ago after receiving complaints from residents. During the investigation, detectives made several drug buys from Curley, authorities said.

Detectives served two search warrants on Monday evening, one at the packed gym and the other at Curley's home. Curley was arrested inside the gym office, detectives said.

Inside the gym, detectives found 84 grams of meth, 66 grams of cocaine, a large amount of oral and injectable anabolic steroids, unused syringes and other drug paraphernalia. Detectives also found $570.

Detectives located more cocaine and a large (of) amount anabolic steroids and unused syringes at Curley's home, authorities said.

Dang that's insane seems like people are dropping like fly's here where I live a man was arrested April 18th, 2014 for selling Anabolic steroids out of his gym as well. its crazy and the funny part was that when he got busted he put a sign on his gym door that said closed for FAMILY CONCERNS...BUMMER!

A common theme is that these many of these guys diversify into recreationals and that is most likely the cause of their downfall.

Agreed, mixing hard narcotics in the mix is asking to get busted. The moral code of drug addicts is slim to none.

Seems they always get pulled over holding some hard stuff and just happen to have a loaded pin on the seat next to them. They forgot it was there because they were so ripped at the time from the needle they put in their arm instead...

I love when they find all these drugs and gear and then say "They found $570" hahaha. Don't hurt us high roller

I don't feel sorry for the guy. What goes around a comes around. You want to make money destroying lives, don't be surprised if the same happens to you.

I'm not being judgmental. I've done same.
