What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

Grilled flank steak for today's meal prep.

Unfortunately, I made a rookie mistake and kept it wrapped up too long in the foil post cooking, so it kept cooking and brought it to a medium+ or so, oh well. It still was INSANELY flavorful. Also, still trying to master this infrared grill. It's trickier than I anticipated.

Eggs and oats. The first and the last meals are the toughest to get down....

Turkey and rice with a side of broccoli. Between my solid meals i have a shake with 3 scoops, a sweet potato and 1 cup of greek yogurt to get me to the next meal.

Good to know! What side effects do you know of? I have to do something about the heartburn. Any alternatives that anyone uses?
I use nexium. I gotta say, for instant relief, can't beat tums.

However, you should treat the source not the symptoms. Hit nexium 1 tab per day for a few days, it'll help a ton.

On the sodium bicarb-

In patients who consume a high calcium or dairy-rich diet, calcium supplements, or calcium-containing antacids such as calcium carbonate (e.g., Tums), the use of sodium bicarbonate can cause milk-alkali syndrome, which can result in metastatic calcification, kidney stones, and kidney failure.

Be safe. Our kidneys etc. are already taxed at a higher level do to certain "supplements" and higher protein intake. Any further taxing SHOULD be mitigated if possible.

Also, I have found tums block me up... Which makes eating THAT much harder.

A psylium husk fiber supplement should be a STAPLE of anyone's supplement routine for a multitude of reasons, including keeping things moving.

100%. Believe it or not, Metamucil and egg whites w/ some water isn't as bad tasting as you'd guess. Kind of like a shitty Orange Julius. Great way to slip 25G's of good protein in with your fiber before bed :)
