progress/training log

Did my accessory day today.

25 minutes cardio.

Full disclosure, I fucked up last night, finally broke and slammed a pint of Ben and Jerry's cherry garcia, felt pretty shitty about. So I forced the extra cardio, think I overheated, fuckin puked up all the water I drank during my workout, felt a little better lol. Hopefully it won't set me back too much hahha

Good log so far.

This quote brought me in. Brought back a memory of a girl I met at the gym when I first started working out. She was a formerly big chick who had worked her way down. One night we were out and she was partaking in some mary jane. Then she proceded to have an oreo shake, some fries, and some other goodies. She felt so guilty she left me at around 1am to go to the 24 hour gym and work it off...

Hahha thank you for sharing that anecdote, probably the main reason I don't partake anymore, no self control whenI'm under the influence of the Devils lettuce.
I appreciate the support, ima keep chiseling way at it.
 
Today's workout

Squats 4x8 at 280lb. 5 pound increase from previous week. All sets completed, will increase weight next week for this day.

Bench 6x3 at 220lb. 5 pound increase from previous week. All sets completed, will increase weight next week.

Deadlift 5x5 at 330lb. 5 pound increase. All sets complete. Will increase weight next week.

Bent over rear laterals. 25lb db 312

Seated calf raise plate per side 3 x 20

Tricep pushdowns with straight bar attachment. Used an underhand grip just to switch it up. 70lb resistance 312

15 minutes HIIT at the end.

Good workout, seem to be progressing nicely. Will be back at it monday.

Squats 6x3 at 300lb . 5 pound increase from prior week. All sets completed.

Bench 5x5 at 230lb. 5 pound increase from prior week. All sets completed.

Deadlift 4x8 at 310lb. 5 pound increase from prior week. All sets completed.

Reverse flys 3 x 12
Seated calf raise 3 x 20
Tricep pushdowns 3x10

15 minutes HIIT.

Third week of this routine and I'm starting to feel the fatigue, my body is saying "hey, fuck you, guy" but I'm saying "no,guy, fuck you!!" Got the rest of this week and then one more week and then I will deloads when I go down to Portland to visit the old man. Can't believe I'm saying it but I'm looking forward to it hahaha.
 
Went and did some accessory work and cardio today. Found out my gym is closing at the end of the month so I'm pretty bummed about that, fuckin great gym. Just finished checking out the other gym in town that I am being forced to switch over to, it's ok...its like $25 bucks cheaper than my current gym, and they have a chest supported T-bar machine so that's kind of cool I guess. Idk, it's small, like 85% of it is cardio machines, they do have a power rack, no deadlift platform though. It's fuckin hot as dick in there, fuckin twins all over the place lol. But, I will just have to make due I suppose.

Switching to a crap gym has forced me to be more resourceful, and as a result, I've found ways to make normal exercises much more effective.

Hahah nah, you know what I meant, when it's all hot and shit and the inner britches area seems to carry alot of heat lol

I mean they have decent equipment there and shit, it's just in a smaller section and that's going to be annoying since more people go there.

Today I did

Squats 5x5 at 300lb. 5 lb increase, all sets completed.

Bench 4x8 at 215lb. 5 lb increase, 3 sets completed, only got 7 reps on the last set so I will probably keep that weight the same next week and I will complete it then im.pretty confident.

Deadlift 6x3 at 320lb 5lb increase, all sets completed.

Reverse flys 3 x 12
Calf raise 3 x 20
Tricep pushdown ( V attachment) 312

Pretty happy with it, I'm definitely getting stronger but I'm feeling the fatigue for sure, I think after my deload week I am going to come back considerably stronger. I think in only missed that last rep on bench because I didn't take ample rest between sets, we'll get it next week though.

Lol, I'll check it out. Then I won't have to bring pen and paper to the gym like some kind of knuckle dragged
 
I used to bring a pen and pad, buy if my face sweat wasn't dripping into it, the collection of sweat on my hand was....
Now the doctor gave me some smart pills to help me remember stuff :rolleyes:
But I forget to take those....
