progress/training log

That's a really a nice view!
Pretty badass to just grab a log and start squatting:cool:

Oh yeah its beatiful, cant tell from the picture but the water is crystal clear, and i catch hella salmon there in the summer. I was building my driftwood fiahing and get out of the sun shack cuz the one i put up last year got wrecked by the tide over winter and i said "hmmm....might as well do some squats while I'm here" it felt quite manly and lumberjacky haha
 
So today i did
Squats 6x3 300lb. All sets complete

Bench 5x5 225lb. All sets complete.

Deadlift 4x8 315lbs. Stopped after 3 sets due to fatigue and form breaking.

Man this is kicking my ass. I may have to put a pin in this for the time being, i went backwards 10 lbs for all my lifts and it was still feeling pretty heavy. I think now with the drugs out of my system the weight loss and caloric deficit are really taking their toll.

I wanna be smart here and not try to win an impossible battle. At this pojnt am i being counter productive trying to get my strength up while i continue to cut down?
Would i be better off reverting to more of a BB style routine while i cut untill i get to where i can start a clean bulk back up, or is there a more reasonable PL routine yall would reccomend for the time being?
Or should i just drop the weight radically so i can get through the entire workout and have room to keep adding weight each week? Because at this point i feel like i am going to hit a stall point fairly soon, especially when im planning on dropping abother 40lbs or so.

Not trying to sound like im whining here, yall know i dont mind the work, just dont want to waste time doing things in a counterproductive manner.
 
RPE only works if you're honest with yourself though. I ran it last year in a deficit before my cycle and really got my ass kicked by squats and deads because I'd convince myself an RPE 10 was really a 9.

Maybe some of the more experienced cutters will have better advice, it's not my strong suit for sure. I wouldn't be able to run DUP with aggressive progression very successfully in a calorie deficit though.

Yeah i could see rpe being a problem because i like to push shit to the extreme haha. Yeah the DUP is just alot, i loved it but i just dont think i can keep it up while i cut down. Im definitely coming back to it though, i know its vain and stupid and i shouldnt care but there is that part of me in the back of my mind that wants to look good AND lift heavy stuff instead of only being concerned with the heavy stufff so im gonna cut off a shit ton more of this fat and then just fucking clean bulk HARD lol. I am determined to have my cake and eat it too.

You can look good and lift heavy weights there are a few PLers here with traps and abs even 1 that is more aesthetic then most bodybuilders. It just takes hard work and a serious determination and commitment because it's not a short process

That's kind of where I'm at right now with wanting to look good and lift heavy. I think once I get a little leaner it'll be easier to maintain it as long as I don't get too carried away with bulking. My strength is down a little, but I'm looking a lot better.

I hear ya brother, i should reiterate, i dont want to be super shredded or anything, i just want to look decent with my shirt off, as soon as i get to that point the cut is over and its power time. I know its gonna be a long road but shit i got nothin but time, this is something i plan on doing for the rest of my life.

I like looking like a sleeper... By that I mean I don't look like I lift most of the time. I wear shirts too big and sweats the only time you know I lift is when I a barbell is in my hands or for some reason I have to take clothing off lol

You fellas want to know what looks good? Lifting heavy heavy weights. Sometimes I DL, then walk out of the gym (bar still in my hands), and walk to the club. And the ladies just give me this look. And I know they want it. And they know I want it. And I know they know I want it. And they know I know they know I want it!

Thank ya brother, yeah i mean i knew this was going to happen, but now that its actually happening it just blows lol. Hahah yeah man, what i lacknin actually knowledge i try and make it up with humor lol
