First brew

Made Test C at 200mg/ml and EQ at 400mg/ml.

Few lessons learned. Filtering was a fucking nightmare.

I'm going to buy some improved kit before next time, and scale up the op a little bit.

The actual "cooking" was a piece of piss.
Filtering hard and vial-ating (sic) was not easy... I'll invest a bit more cash for a much improved setup for next time.

Randall.

It was absolutely terrible!
Very slow, very hard work, many broken syringes.
I won't be doing it by hand again.

Tesr cyp is a bitch. Dont use it next time. Test e requires much less solvent.

I brew several 100ml jugs and filter 50ml as I need it.

I don't know if you are using a needle to vent as you filter your gear or not, but if not do. No air is being drawn into the vial, so the risk of contamination is minimal.

Cheers, Paul. I'll probably get t-E next time as I've had that advice in several different threads now.

I was using a vent needle. Seems like the best option.

My right ventrogluteal is fucking killing me, by the way... Think I must have fucked that injection a bit...
The left one got pinned twice, once with the balance of the t-C and once with the full front-loaded dose of the EQ and left is painless.
Right feels like I've been kicked by a horse

Yeah, I'm never using syringe filters again either. I had one batch I was up all night filtering. My first time brewing I tried using large syringes, after that I went back to 3ml syringes, sucks going back and forth so often but you can actually get it to flow without 1000 lbs of pressure.

Would using USP grade pre-filtered carrier oils eliminate the need for filtering as long as everything is done in a sterile set-up, or do you guys use filters in order to also to get out any potential cut or impurities that might be present in the raws?

Not what so fucking ever! Only cheap assed UGLs would do this. You have potential for undissolved crystals, bacteria that weren't caught, and all sorts of uglies that might make it through. Start sterile, the filter and end sterile.
