Jon Jones busted for Estrogen blockers

So news came out earlier that Jon Jones, former UFC champ had been suspended for use of estrogen blockers prior to his fight.

It seems to me he was probably coming off of a cycle.

I'm honestly really shocked how people get up in arms about a top professional fighter using steroids and other PED's. Especially things for recovery and certain compounds to help strengthen joints and connective tissue, things like that which they need in a combat sport where you are literally getting beat up.

Like people are acting like he's a complete scumbag because he is using...when 99.999% of the guys are using. One of the Diaz brothers was recently asked about Jones suspension and he responded with "everyone is using steroids". The look on Dana White's face on the podium was priceless lol.

This is open for whatever discussion but I was really wondering, do you think that this perception of gear will ever change in the eyes of the public?

I'm trying to figure out what you're avi is about? The guy on the left is the GS Warrior kid...the right side is who?
Jones is probably running test suspension(if he is in fact running anything). Water would clear the system fastest. They probably test total free test also so it may not matter....I'm ignorant when it comes to ped testing. Don't know what the newest "masking" agents are.
I know the UFC has rules to keep TRT from being used to the individuals advantage somehow.
Training etc is a grind. As it is in MLB...you'd be shocked the % of athletes afflicted with ADHD and the # of guys diagnosed with narcolepsy. "Greenies"(dexadrine) was always the real dirty little secret in MLB and all professional sports.
When the MLB players union finally relented to pressure from our government and agreed to their players being tested there was a flood of scripts handed in by players written by their Dr's for Adderral, Dexadrine, Desoxyn, etc.
Our military uses amphetamines in combat as well...always has.
All the pro wrestlers and others dying young aren't being taken down by gear and gh..it's narcotic pain relievers and amphetamines. Speed puts quite a strain on the ol' ticker. Just my opinion, of course.

Lmao I take it you never heard the "deez nuts" vine. That's Welven the Great.

Agree with your assessment

No, I'm not. Was away for a bit with no internet. I'm catching up.....slowly.
As a black man I should probably take offense, no?

Absolutely
lol
this is a funny ass interaction.

In response to your original question FS, I don't see public perception changing anytime soon. The level of pressure we put on these athletes to preform is unrealistic almost at times, yet we are "shocked" when they go to great lengths to do anything and everything to get an edge? I agree with BB as well, Rx amphetamines seem to be increasingly more popular for performance enhancement in all avenues of sport...but it's cool they "got a Dr's note". People shunned one of those Diaz's boys when they pissed hot for herb, like it was going to give him an edge pummeling a dude's face in the octagon

drugs are bad...shame
***except when they come in plastic bottles and in fun shapes and colors

I'm not shocked that he was on or that the majority of pro guys are on something, its that they get caught.

Yeah he's definitely been popped before. I just read up that the specific drug he was caught this time was Clomid so he was probably in the end of his PCT before his fight.

@ruckin on the note of how he got caught, this also interests me. Having been someone who has been caught before, and being that he's one of the top fighters in the world, I would have thought he would have access to "designer" steroids, and other ancillaries to stay ahead of the testing.

I was just looking forward to watching him fight. He really is one of the best, and one of the most fun to watch. Athletic freak of nature.

If I remember correctly, I think he also failed a test for drostanolone a little while back. Blows my mind that there's millions of dollars on the line an he doesn't do everything possible to make sure he has the help he needs to pass everything. Maybe there's just something I don't know about though.

I don't think these guys have access to anything we don't. We just would like to think they do because of their money

Maybe you're right, but they certainly can afford extremely expensive designer drugs that most of us couldn't afford, even if we could find them on the black market.

I don't know, to be honest. I guess I don't have any proof for what I said, but I'd be shocked if it isn't true. But again, I have no evidence.
Right, I'm really not aware of designer steroids that we couldn't buy that they could?
Legit GH would be the most expensive option I believe. I can't afford em. They easily could.

But I don't think this is some conspiracy of them having a specialized designer steroid available to them.

They can afford the $22 per iu that Wellness clinics get for pharmacy gh.

That would make things alot easier as far as acquisition goes but I'd think they wouldn't want any traces. Cuz people talk and the more people you have in the chain the bigger the chances of getting caught up in a mess. Jones is big time but not Alex Rodriguez or Peyton Manning big time. I'd think they'd have a trusted middleman to handle these exchanges for them. Maybe they just order off the damn Internet or email like the rest of us...idk
