Guns

True. My old instructors always drilled in my head the downsides of muzzle flash in a combat setting, not necessarily in a home defense situation. Plus, if you're anything like me, you'll already be blinding the shit out of your attacker with a quality weapon light anyway, so the actual flash from the barrel will be negligible.

Still, the hearing protection just isn't something I can see myself grabbing in a SHTF scenario in the middle of the night. I have electronic muffs, too, but I guarantee I won't be mindful enough to grab those if I hear a door kicked in or window smashed. Just grabbing the closest available weapon and putting it, and myself, between them and my family.
Lawd almighty she's gorgeous. I don't really feel comfortable posting my guns on here anymore, otherwise I'd start flooding this thread with nice heaters lol.

I am the king of bumpfire. Sustained, and somewhat accurate bumpfire from the shoulder is my specialty. With AK platform rifles of course.
Have you ever been to the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in Kentucky. I may have mention this before. But I take my kids and wife to it twice a year. It's one of those things you have to see to appreciate. If not look it up on YouTube. The night shoot is unbelievable.

Mrhat

Trust me man it's been a dream of mine to attend the knob creek machine gun shoot. I've wanted to go for years now.

I have a cheap WASR 10 AK , it's cool watching the crowd gather after I bump fire a snail drum mag. Cool way to make friends. Bump in my Saiga 12 is a whole other story, I can pull it off with field loads. My mini 14 has a trigger actuator installed that is essentially the same as bump firing. I would love to goto knob creek. Bucket list stuff.:)

One of the members at Knob Creek died a year or so ago. He had his body cremated. He requested to be put out on the range and blown to bits. They did.
People come from all over the US, to see the largest non military machine gun shoot in the world..
Mushroom clouds of black-red fire go's as high as the trees!

Sometimes the woods are on fire all around the gun range. When the mini guns start in, it sounds like a sustained revving chainsaw!! 55 gallon barrels of gasoline are exploded, you can feel wave after wave of heat hit you in the face from the explosions. Something about when the large cannon goes off, I can't hardly keep from getting down low to the ground.. If you guys haven't been plan to go.......

It's the place me and my kids learned how to do lock-picking. Now we love lock picking. It's just a good family environment.

ATF Open Letter on the REVERSAL of the use of SB Tactical Pistol Stabilizing Braces:

The new clarification of opinion letter states, “an NFA firearm has not necessarily been made when the device is not reconfigured for use as a shoulder stock – even if the attached firearm happens to be fired from the shoulder. To the extent that the January 2015 Open Letter implied or has been construed to hold that incidental, sporadic, or situational “use” of an arm-brace (in its original approved configuration) equipped firearm from a firing position at or near the shoulder was sufficient to constitute “redesign,” such interpretations are incorrect and not consistent with ATF’s interpretation of the statute or the manner in which it has historically been enforced.”

This essentially makes it legal and no longer a FELONY for myself and others to shoulder our makeshift "SBR's" utilyzing a brace system rather than a shoulder stock.

Even though the statement refers to the SB Tactical Pistol Stabilizing Braces, it technically will also apply to other brace systems such as the Sig brace.

ANOTHER WIN!

About time, silly draconian laws have dominated recent arguments on firearms. Very one sided for a long time. I have never understood suppressor, sbr laws. It has nothing to do with lethality, only concealibility.
As many states, with a few notable exceptions, have been issuing ccw permits, legislature has come to realize their states did not turn into the wild west. Suppressor have a cool factor, however they can save your hearing. Firearms freedom and rights is something I'm very passionate about. I never understood uncle Sam giving me a machine gun and grenades to defend my country, but back home in Ny I couldn't even own a .22 pistol to punch holes in cans.

I'd consider that a partial win.

BAFTE is still being intentionally ambiguous about a firearm's "intended" use. If you buy (or build) an AR pistol or similar firearm with the intent of firing it from the shoulder, even with a brace, it seems it still falls under their purview of a short barreled rifle and should still be regulated as such. Now the burden of proof is on them instead of us, which is good, but they aren't going to make it easy to have a true SBR.

BAFTE just needs to be disbanded. Period.

When Newtown happened and the governor of NY was so eager to be the first to have the strictest gun laws in the nation i decided to move. Not ALL in part but that certainly was the very last straw i was gonna take from those assholes in power
Still 'Merica down here in TX. And flourishing!

Good for you, trucker. You just went to the top of the list of guys with character.

This is my weapons bag/kit when we go to our cabin, or out of state for awhile.
The rifle is a Palmetto State Armory AR-15 with some Magpul FDE furniture.
The pistol in the black holster is an FNS 9MM, the holsterless is an FNS 40, and the pistol in the leather holster is a Glock 19.View attachment 68086

IMG_7797.JPG I guess since knives are included in the intro, I'll show my daily carry. It's a Microtech Ultratech S/E automatic out-the-front knife. Some may say that $280 is too much for a pocket knife, but this guy is true quality craftsmanship that carries a lifetime warranty. I actually just got it back about 2 weeks ago.
