In summary the Motorcraft, Purolator, Mobil 1 and Wix tested the best.
Turns out the motorcraft is a purolator pure 1. Their top of the line offering. They rebadge it for motorcraft and its cheaper. Same exact thing. The purolator pure 1 is even rated just ahead of mobil1 filter. Which is pretty hard to doI only run motorcraft in my 7.3.. I've heard other filters "don't agree" with most ford engines. From a 20 year warranty supervisor at ford.

Ecoboost vs 6.2 vs 5.0 HP and Torque@gr8whitetrukker any experience with the 6.2 ford? Came in the superduty since 11 also in the raptor and certain f150 models. Single overhead cam dual plugs per cylinder 400hp 400ftlbs in stock trim (depending on what it comes out of) and it basically bolts in where any other mod motor (4.6 5.4) would. Doesn't have a forged crank but at half the cost of a salvage yard 5.0 I could really do some damage. Some raptor guys are running 10lbs of boost on stock internals making just north of 700hpand junkyards got em stacked up
found one with 30k miles for $1400 said hed throw in harness, ecm and accessories for another 200
. I think it'd be a good little(big) motor for my foxbody.

I like the 6.2L from Ford...Alot. Iron block and a single OHC makes it old school. All 6.2L made by Ford are nick'd "Boss" but rarely used in marketing. And all of them will be truck engines. Which makes them less ideal for racing purposes due to alot of reasons. That big ass iron block certainly not the least of which. But why not an ecoboost?
They rule everything. More torque, earlier in the RPM range and a broader band.
The new ecoboosts available in 2017 come with 470lb ft tq which makes them the most powerful engine available in a stock half ton pickup...EVER!

Heard.Get a predigital Mercedes V12. Pre 96 I think. And a set of headers with crossover pipes. Simply divine sound, you'll practically cream your pants.
