Where's my Harley bros at?

I've owned 3 harley in the past decade. My current and last bike ill be owning is Is a 2014 low rider 103 engine. Great bikes when the temp is below 85. Higher than that without liquid cooling they run like shit when it's really hot outside. Don't expect a nice stock 85 mph cruiser. they're great 55 mph runners.
reliability - since new I've done all my own maintenance. Have 9k on it without issues except heat problems when idling too long or very hot temps. None of my jap bikes ever gave me any problems. IMO there are thousands of low mileage garage queens out there for the pickings. If you buy from dealer have them throw in extended warranty as part of the deal, just in case.

Great advice appreciate it. 10 months a year here in FL it's above 90 degrees. I can definitely do my own maintainece. I agree about jap bikes. Never had a problem with any of mine. Thanks

Thinking about pick up this 17' street glide special. I've been looking at them for a while. On my recent vacation I rode my brothers street glide he recently got and loved it! I've always had crotch rockets but now my old ass wants to chill not speed. Anyway this bike is 30k out the door at the dealer. This guy is selling this one with 385 miles  for 24k so he's taken the hit already. I know it's a good deal I just don't know much about this particular model or Harley's in general. It has the new 107" motor in it also.
I ask because I've always heard they spend a lot of time in the shop. Honestly there's no other cruiser style bike I like except for maybe a custom chopper but they look uncomfortable for long rides. So I don't wanna spend the money if the bike is always down.

Just looking for experiences, opinions or personal experiences. Thanks

He emailed me back today and said he would let it go for 22.5k I think a few more weeks I can get it for 21k-21.5k out the door. I'm in no hurry. I like playing the waiting game with dealers.

I have had several street glides very nice bikes to ride. my 2010 I bought new have had no problems I have 82.000 miles on it. it used to be you had to rebuild at least the top half at 50.000 but not anymore.

I keep them running this will be the 4th bike I have put over 100 thousand miles on.
I also have a 2009 big dog k-9 chopper they ride great if their a softail a hard tail is a bitch
I have rode the bigdog to sturgis 3 times and that's a 17 hr ride for me one way.

I like the big dogs. But they look uncomfortable for long rides although not for you I see lol. I guess like anything else with a motor. Use it, maintain it and don't neglect or beat the shit out of it.

it rides great to me, but they don't corner well, kinda like drivin a semi take the corners wide.
What sweet looking bike! That thing would hurt my big ass lol.
sore but not as bad as I thought , surgery went well.
Glad to hear that. I forgot your surgery.

my st glide
Love the street glide
does that have the shifter in the side? I watch American Pickers and that guy Mike has some cool old Harley's.
fucking A dude, glad to hear it.
Sup with the moonshine ick?

been asking myself the same thing lol. I would have bet the farm that I'd be running mash today/tonight or tomorrow but life came over and slapped me around a bit.

A contract at work fell apart on a project timeline basis. I spent all of last week helping bail them out, it was a vacation week for me! Even Meso was a distant thought until around 8 or 9pm most of the time.

Basically, I spent about 70 hours staring at a computer screen programming conference rooms for a college so they can meet their scheduled, and already pushed back twice apparently, training.

It's coming, I promise!! Mid January at the latest. Probably mash in next weekend, put fire to it the next. I'm using liqour kuik alcobase extreme and powdered sugar. Yeast should eat that up no problem!!

That's nice!
I bought a Super Glide Sport in 98. Straight bars, screaming eagles and re-jetted(^)it the only changes I made.
I had 55k on it when sold it in 2014.
The leaky gaskets and "in the shop" era of HD was the 70's early 80's.
Since the evolution motor and belt drive(sadly), they do not need constant tinkering anymore.
As far as HD, everyone has one anymore. Bankers to Teachers on down to teens on old HD dirt bikes. (For better or worse mass produced now)
I liked the American Iron sound and feel.
My humble opinion. Go w HD.
