I never felt that getting drunk or doing drugs was a necessary part of life, so I guess I never “lived”, but hey, at least I’m doing steroids now so that must make me cool.

Doing steroids is doing a drug technically just as much as the other ones you are referring to in terms of legality. But personally I find that in moderation, most recreational drugs can be relatively harmless, but just like AAS there lays room for abuse.
