Subutex,suboxone

Man it sounds like you guys have been through hell with these drugs. Glad to see you come together and helping each other. Wish you all the best in your battles.

I was a IV heroin addict on and off for years. Suboxone helped me get off. I always was able to get off it and didn’t experience any cravings after getting off the suboxone. Everyone’s different I guess.

Shits DEFINITELY better than the alternative. In the throws of a serious relapse at the moment. Been up a few days smoking dope and shooting h. Losing my shit for sure.

Do what you have to do before it's too late man. You sound like you are ready and asking for help. Unfortunately we aren't in a position to do anything. You have to do it yourself. Best of luck to you.

I really do want to be done with this shit. My commitment to the military is nearly over and at that point I may enter rehab. Life's just been a mothafucker lately and I've been slipping up alot. I appreciate the comments fellas.

Definitely try and get some help because there's nothing harder than trying to do it alone stuck in your own head. the rehab thing I just couldn't do it,but jail I guess was my rehab and when I came out I got on Suboxone and you can pretty much say it saved my life at that point now. I'm going to have to battle to get rid of that it never ends brother he just have to learn how to deal with it.

I was in the doctor's office the other day and heard someone in another room talking about how this medication lowers your natural test levels.its given to opioid users,i haven't used in over 6 years but the thought still scares tf outa me so I have been on this medication for a couple years. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this medication and its effects on test levels

opioids in general have been shown to reduce LH secretion with the net effect being the potential for lower TT levels, espin chronic users.

And I’ve no reason to suspect Suboxone is any different.

If you have a history of opioid abuse esp heroin, I’d strongly suggest you stay away from ALL controlled substances but esp narcotics, AND tell your docs why you can’t/won’t take this class of drugs, unless absolutely necessary as an inpatient

Not only will physicians abide by your wishes YOU will be respected
for enlightening them.

When I got off H, I kicked in county. I think they gave me 1 Valium a day, I remember saving up 5 of them. Ate them all at once and didn't feel shit. That's when I knew I was done. Felt like my blood was trying exit my body for like 10 days. That was 15 years ago, haven't shot dope since.

Good for you mate what a CHALLANGE that must be!

And I say that bc based upon rehab data only one drug is more difficult to “quit” in the long term than heroin ——

Anyone know or wanna guess what it is ??

I was on methadone for about a year from a doctor and got cut off. Couldn't shake the withdrawals even after about a month and ended up going to a methadone clinic for about a year and a half. Then switched to Suboxone for about six months and quit it cold turkey without much trouble. Ended up back on everything a few months later though. Was in and out of jail and rehab the next couple years. Took going to prison for almost two years and quitting everything cold turkey yet again for it to finally take. Haven't touched opiates in almost seven years now.

Booze and benzos? Cause the withdrawals are actually dangerous, I know I’ve had opioid including high dose fentanyl withdrawals and I’ve also had benzo withdrawals and only one required an ambulance to take me to a hospital for a week. Can’t be nicotine that shits easy in comparison

Let me be more precise, it’sn illicit, street drug, which excludes nicotine and meds such as fentanyl.
