I would normally not advise going over 2g/lb of bodyweight for protein, so unless you are close to 19 stone and lean, I think the above is too much. OK for some shocking of the body or to get over a sticking point, but I would not suggest doing it for too long.

I would always recommend 40-40-20 macro breakdown as a starting point, the above is 35-35-30, so fats are quite high

the 3 1/2 pints of ice cream is a bit much (about 30% of your total carb and 40% of your total fat). Sounds like some of the old cycling for pennies stuff where a load of ice cream was used to massively up calories to overcome a sticking point. Again maybe ok for a bit, but really not healthy.

I would switch some real food in earlier in the day rather than carb powder (not sure what this is. Glucose or ground oats?). Either way i would suggest rice, yams etc at those times.

More meat, as others have said I would swap some of the eggs into meat. Not only red meat as that isn't healthy long term, but oily fish, chicken, turkey etc.

I would be interested to hear if you are able to actually maintain this sort of eating, as I would think within a few days you will be bloated, backed up and sick of it. But if you can process this much food, and keep your sanity, then fair play.

You realize 40-40-20 at 6k cals is essentially 600/600/130....? So that is nowhere close to lowering protein.

From now on diet and drug advice needs to come with a fucking physique post, even if it’s from a long past prime.

I’m not on board with @tengtren ‘s entire diet but I also know this isn’t about health, being comfortable, or enjoying it...

Good luck. Definitely interested to see how a someone would do with such a plan. Not something I would attempt.

Or perhaps a reading comprehension test before needlessly having a go.

My post was-
Sentence 1 - Reduce total protein (to max 2g/lb of bodyweight)
Sentence 2 - Re-balance macro ratio's (so protein is 40% of total)

If you take one line of a post in isolation and ignore all the others lines then it is easy to make anything into something it isn't

You can not reduce protein, maintain a macro ratio, and still eat the same amount of food. There’s a reason @tengtren is eating this much food.

40/40/20 is about as bro-sciency as diet advice gets behind maybe IIFYM. I don’t think his macro split as is great as is, but a baseless 40/40/20 recommendation, especially coupled with lowering protein (and thus overall cals) for someone looking to grow is missing the point completely.

Again re-read my post

I backed up the reason for cals down, unless he is 19 stone and lean.

And again re-read, do I not specifically state 40-40-20 is a starting point - meaning you start here then alter based on actual results

I am sorry but you are trying to push your viewpoint as gospel and anyone else with a different input, even if they can back up what they say, is some kind of moron unless they have (and I quote) "a fucking physique post". A physique post is not worth much to me (I have met a lot of guys with good genetics and a willingness to pin whatever they can find but with no knowledge themselves), so I value actually having input you can back up, an open mind, and the ability to enter into a discussion. To me that is much more worthwhile than a physique post.

I have no interest in an argument, so let's just get back to the OP topic and move on.
