I doubt anyone's "whole life" is based on this forum but why is that supposed to make him a sad, pathetic pussy? That seems to be the consensus, at least when someone is trying to flame someone, because I see it used as an insult all the time.

Meso is as real a community as any real life one. I mean, what is a real community anyway if not a bunch of like-minded people that get together to talk about similar interests, encourage each other, care about each other's goals and aspirations and their problems and families? Members get to know each other - oftentimes off the forum. It amazes me that it's almost 2019 and this technology has been around for a quarter of a century now, and people still think the relationships built here aren't real.

I have a very active social life and I'm currently dating an absolutely stunningly beautiful girl and we travel and do things together all the time, but some of the best times of my life have been spent on Meso. I've made lifelong friends here that are as real as any "real life" friends. I've fought some bitter fights here, I've had a lot of fun here, met some great people, and a bunch of other stuff - both good and bad that I won't get into now; but it was all real. I have nothing but fond memories of this place. Maybe if you stay here long enough to establish a history that's more than a few months you'll understand and feel that way too.
