Good Books (fantasy sci fi)

Recently rereading Red Rising by Pierce Brown. Truly an epic revenge story.

Other books I love:

Dune by Frank Herbert is Great. The series gets a little fucky after the first one though.

Anything by Brandon Sanderson. Mistborn is great. Way of Kings series also very good.

Just wondered if anyone else cares to share a good read or author they enjoyed.

Need to exercise our brains too.

I've been slacking on reading lately. Since you've mentioned him I'm guessing you already read it, but The Stormlight Archive (Way of Kings was the first one) series by Brandon Sanderson is awesome. I read the first book not long after it came out and have been impatiently waiting on the rest one by one. I liked the third one and how it tied into that other book of his, Warbreaker.

Been trying to get my girlfriend into The Dark Tower series before the series premieres. I've read the entire series three times and it's my favorite, but been listening to the audiobooks when we travel. Only on book two of those currently. The upcoming show is based on Wizard and Glass, which is book four.

As far as other books I liked The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. The Traveler series by John Twelve Hawks is really good, too.

Have you seen they're making a Wheel of Time series on Amazon Prime that's supposed to come out next year? I'm hopeful it'll be decent, supposed to be high budget.

I wish I could focus on reading those types of stories. I find them interesting. My add dont allow me to. I start wondering off to lala land. The crazy thing is that instructional books, how to books and academic books I can read without any problems.

I have an hour drive to and from work.so I absorb a lot of audiobooks.

Have read thru dark tower the first 5 books probably 3 times. The other 2 or 3 I've only read once.

And yes the 3rd storm light book was good and still puzzling out how the sword from.warbreaker made it's way in. Good addition though. Would you like to destroy some evil?

*****Spoiler Alert*****
Zahel from Oathbringer is Vasher from Warbreaker according to what I've read. Seems the events in Warbreaker happened after the events in Stormlight Archive.

I've been meaning to read Mistborn. I still go to used book stores and used book sales at libraries sometimes. I'm still hoarding books at a faster rate than I'm reading them.

My girlfriend isn't a reader, so we binge watch stuff a lot. Although I guess if I was reading she could watch all the shows she misses because I won't watch them. When I pick up a book I pretty much don't do anything else until it's finished.

The Sword of Shannara and the subsequent novels by Terry Brooks. Running with the Demon is another good one by him.

I was thinking I read the first Sword of Shannara book years ago, but was looking it up just now and it was the first Sword of Truth book by Terry Goodkind. Sounds so similar.

I used to go to a little used bookstore that recently went out of business.. it was the coolest place. They did book binding there as well.

My favorites:

The Magicians Trilogy by Lev Grossman
The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks
The Land series by Aleron Kong
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Doesn't fit sci-fi/fantasy, but anything by Stephen Hunter

I have The Magicians, Night Angel Trilogy, and some of Stephen Hunters audiobooks. If anyone wants them, shoot me a PM.
