So uhm, i never cared about it when i was on gear, but now im off all gear since almodt a year and i am wondering, does it affect hormones (testosterone/estrogen..) or overall gym performance if smoked frequently?
Im not talking about before training, but some days at night after training or so..?
 
I think frequent use lowers testosterone count. But I know plenty of guys who use it to settle down at night, sleep better, but they're on gear all the time

This was discussed before and there was no concrete evidence THC lowered Testosterone. Only anecdotal. Do some research on google and perhaps you'll find some studies.

Another way to look at it is like this: Does smoking anything decrease your ability to produce oxygen? Since that's a yes, I'd say it definitely hinders performance, worsening over time.

If you like to get high, meditate. Or just eat some edibles. You could also micro dose psilocibin. I've never tried it but considering it for the cognitive benefits.
 
Zero negative effects only positive! It’s all about finding out what strain works best for you. I’ve been smoking everyday for almost 30 years. I work two jobs @ 60hrs week and workout two hours a day five day’s a week. I would be lost without my ganja!!:eek:

I read a recent study the more or less says that weed creates a very strong LH pulse that momentarily increases testosterone. The down side being the crash in testosterone levels after a few hours and the days it takes to get back to natural.

I don’t think there’s any strong evidence to say it directly lowers test.

Here some Purple Punch I’m growing. About to be cut down that’s why the leaves are getting a nice fad. But very specific indica strains like this make me feel like I just took a Vicodin. Clean euphoric head high but mostly all body. Feels really good tbh and doesn’t affect my gym performance the next day either.

Can you elaborate on the difference?

At least for me I notice I will feel like I have more energy and my thoughts run a lot faster.

I've actually grown to like lifting half stoned quite a bit though. Increasing my focus has helped with the mind/muscle connection quite a bit. Also it seems to blunt pain and help with more high intensity bodybuilding workouts which I recently switched to from powerlifting.
 
One thing I just wanna add to this post are the benefits to sleep and recovery. Now, many ppl sleep like shit while on a cycle unless they take something to help fall asleep. Why is that? Well, to the best of my knowledge, gear stimulates the nervous system. That's why when ppl come off they often go back to sleeping better.

I cannot use THC due to employment issues. So do you know what I resorted to for 4 years straight? A fucking benzo addiction that was hard as a bitch to kick!

While I don't think I'm the type of person who could lift while high or even function well during the day while high, god damn I could hit it a cpl times at night and I personally feel as though the relaxation/recovery could far outweigh any possible impact on test levels, especially since I'm always on test through TRT.

Yea the shit makes me hungry which is why I would probably only do it right before bed if I could use it, but I've known many of bodybuilder who has smoked themselves silly while competition prepping to take the edge off from the extreme diet demands it takes to get into single digit bodyfat.

I feel like we can overanalyze everything too much sometimes. We begin looking at every little thing as good or bad, healthy or unhealthy, but mental health and less stress is a big factor in longevity and health also. I mean, it's gotta be a hell of a lot better than drinking, smoking, dipping, benzos, heroin, oxy's and nubain!! This is precisely the reason so many a good bodybuilder often falls victim to rec drugs. They're often trying to balance out the crazy nervous system response to anabolics. That GO-GO-GO may be good in the gym, but it's not good 24/7. Just my .02 , if it's not hurting anybody and you aren't driving a vehicle around high as a kite, fuck it.

Smoking and driving becomes second nature with experience. It honestly poses no threat when used in moderation.
 
I guess I may be one of the few that feels like total dog shit from it. I tend to feel really sluggish and foggy headed afterwards for like a week. I never had bloods taken or anything so it may be in my head but I felt like my recovery sucked and just all around felt like garbage.

I also never really got the clear headed highs that people describe either except when a good friend of mine was growing and it was the best I've ever had. Felt great. Dont know, maybe the pot around here was just terrible quality.

Yea, I had the exact same "sides", if you'd call them that. I know a lot of people who are still potheads but it just never did it for me. Perhaps it comes down to body chemistry of some sort.

Still haven't taken the plunge on tren quite yet tho

If you don't mind my asking - what was your first run with tren like? do you recall your progress/results/sides?
