Anyone try Inj Carnitine period, let alone Shredded's?

Im not the brightest at times and cant find much at all with any kind of dosing info or intramuscular or what.

But I did read a study that makes me pretty interested for a recomp cycle
I've had the injection carnatine ampules from Mexico. They burn like a bitch and the results are minimal. I tried them against my coaches recommendation but he didn't forbid me just said they didn't work. After a month I agreed.

All of it burns...
I've tried many including vet grade.
It's all the same, I can't say it doesn't work because the burning wasn't worth daily inject.

but I just asked him about any sides and he said he had cataracts about 2 years after his big transformation (at 23yo).
Damn, two years is the longest lag I have heard of. In the literature, the longest they noted was one year. I'll have to amend my suggestion for supplementation beyond one year to two.

What's y'all's thoughts on this? I read somewhere that men are equally likely to have cataracts as women. The number point to women because that is the group that was taking it back in the day. I don't know, just putting this out there as a discussion point.
There are those who think men aren't susceptible to DNP cataracts because there aren't any mentions in the literature. But the primary base of users was women. I think it's a leap to say that men are immune, and it would have been highly unethical (even 100 years ago) to run clinical tests to see if men got cataracts. But it is true that there's no evidence in the literature that directly ties cataracts to men. However, there are individual reports, more recently, of men getting cataracts, such as your friend.

So as long as I’m not genetically predisposed to cataracts (was it cataracts or glaucoma??), and maintain my vitamins E & C, I should be good?
I don't recall any association with vitamin E, but it has been a while since I read the studies. In animal trials, rabbits and guinea pigs (IIRC) they were only able to induce cataracts when the animals were vitamin C deprived. So there's that. However, one of the men (listed earlier) was taking plenty of supplements, and got cataracts anyway. So there may be a genetic component also.

It's really hard to say, but we do know the compound that is responsible for the cataracts.

2-Amino-p-quinoneimine (I misspelled it in my earlier post.)

Have you used synthetek or enhanced athlete before? I don't know if EA still sells it or not, but neither of them burned. I've never used vet grade, can't comment on that.

I've never considered making it myself but it's probably not too difficult... I don't know if it's really worth it or not, I just got tired of daily pins even though they were painless... Just got old.

It did seem to give me a better endurance/performance in the gym, and John Meadows wrote an article on inject carnitine specifying that is exactly the side effect you want to be looking for. Not exactly scientific but it was noticeable, similar to cardarine.

Keep in mind, 80-100 years ago, T levels in men were much higher, obesity was unlikely a large issue with men, and when they were fat, they probably didn't give any fucks. There weren't nearly as many desk jobs, men were farmers, fabricators, etc, they were physically active, food was expensive, and everyone had a cig (appetite suppressant) hanging out of their mouth.
It was a very different time.

I have read most, if not all, the papers you will find here.
Google Scholar
If you are interested in getting the articles, get on tor, take the doc ids and find sci-hub or genesis library.

Interesting!

The version of DNP that was available to the public was not actually DNP though, and I wonder if that's getting factored into any of this. Without looking it up I think it was Dinitrocresol? It was actually even more potent than DNP base.

Absolutely.

I remember reading something about that, I think there were some experiments done with that in europe, but not in the US AFAIK. What was being used in the US was undoubtedly DNP.

@Eman if you want some really interesting (and scary) reading, do some research on DNP and agranulocytosis. It's basically instant death from DNP, and not from overheating.

Agranulocytosis - Wikipedia

Of course, cue the people to come in and say "not in men" etc. For the record, I'm a big fan of DNP, but that's not to say there aren't risks.
