"By Jan. 1, 2021, all international mail coming into the U.S. must include advance electronic data, which contains the identifying information, or it will be blocked."

That sounds bad for international AAS deliveries and I am sure that electronic info can't be faked. Think international sources will fake the electronic documentation to make it look like something else like cosmetics?

Just so I am clear on the rules here, you have to do this to links to news stories and studies and such, not just links to source web sites?

I may have been inadvertently violating the rules here if so, out of ignorance.

We are not supposed to post active links in the underground section. But, outside of the underground, I do not believe that links need to be coded.

I don't see this happening so quickly if at all. I'm not seeing this posted on any big news outlets and a big change like this I would think would need to be well known. Internationally known. Otherwise there would be 100s of thousands of packs getting rejected as know one is really in the know. I do see major changes coming to the mail system in the next few years to decade though.

Good to know. I always thought the only links allowed here were links that would take you somewhere else on Meso.

AED was a goal of the "Stop Act".

It's a method of big data collection for both the sender and receiver.

In other words us frequent fliers are already on the list, and it will make it possible to put more people on the list of offenders.

The entire system is automated, any package when the label is scanned can be kicked off for inspection without any need for human eyes. Sent to the X-ray and then sniffed by the dog, sent for inspection, cut open, infrared spec'd and then they can decide what to do from there depending on the contents.

There's simply no way to get around this unless someone can beat the X-ray with a lead barrier that isn't a dead give away.
