Parler is back online weeks after Amazon kicked it off its AWS cloud-computing platform and banned by Apple and Google for violating terms of service. Parler was unable to reach an agreement with other U.S. based cloud computing services from Microsoft, Google, Oracle, etc.

Parler is fully operational again thanks to business arrangements with the Russian internet infrastructure firm DDoS-Guard, California-based cloud computing firm SkySilk, and Washington-based website services firm Epik.

One hacker was given most of the credit for downloading and archiving 99% or 56.7 terabytes of the data. From there, law enforcement, journalists, and everyone else had a field day with the info

How so?

I read that Parler's CEO was fired. He suggested that he was fired because he wanted to restrict content posted by white nationalists and Qanon supporters but the board of directors disagreed. So I didn't see that anything changed.

Wonderful, so glad these other companies have no morals. Oh, and they have backing from Russia now! I wonder if DDoS-Guard actually provides DDoS protection or if they just tell the Russian government, "Hey, these guys are paying us now, so they're cool, tell the tech sector of the Russian intelligence operation to stop attacking them." You know, more like a mob protection racket than actual protection??

Honestly, Russia and China probably wouldn't want to attack Parler anyway, it is doing these countries a valuable service by continuing to destabilize the US and degrade the moral fabric of our society by encouraging racism, sexism, and violence. Somehow these far-right people don't understand that China and Russia LOVE them and want them to continue their antics. They want the Proud Boys and other far-right groups to continue their domestic terrorism operations.




One other thing, I still don't understand how people still don't get that Antifa is not an organization. It's not a group of people all banding together and planning and plotting things. It is an ideology. The FBI director literally said this himself last fall.

The human psychology behind extremism is just insane. I wish our stupid monkey brains weren't so goddamn stubborn. That fact of the human mind combined with echo chambers LIKE PARLER and other sites where these people just get each others' dicks hard talking about white supremacy and killing black people and liberals gives me very little hope that we'll be able to move on and mature as a society and as a planet in the future Humanity has so much potential and we are squandering it on petty arguments and fucked up hate-inspired ideologies...
