Nobody needs to do a specific exercise...but I can definitely say I've never seen someone with a good deadlift that doesn't have an impressive back. One of the few exercises that trains every single muscle of the back. I change it up and do them every week. Sometimes at the end of the workout like some snatch grip rack pulls, or at the beginning with some heavy romanian deads but personally i love the deadlift for it's muscle building and its difficulty
