Anybody smoke on cycle?

Good for you man. Good for you.
How long did you smoke for?

About 5 years or so? I started in highschool, but that was more of rebellious thing... I worked in the trades when I graduated and kept smoking because that's just what pretty much everyone did, plus the drive time... I quit in my first or second semester of college.

My lady has never smoked a cigarette either... And she wouldn't care at all if she could never have a drink again. I'm getting to the point where I don't care much myself but I still enjoy it in a social sense.

The nictotine gum is amazing.

i can finally get up to 30 minutes of cardio.

my smoking made doing cardio impossible.

You can definitly make gains while smoking. It doesnt do anything to muscles if you can still eat and drink water.

I used to purlpsely eat a meal just to have a cig after. Because cigs after a meal or on a road trip are amazing.

but they are not for me anymore. Been about 2 years.

the nicotine gum is really helpful to stop. Keeps the mouth busy when and decreases the oral fixation.

Nicotine is my biggest vice by far. Smoked for about 10 years, up to a 1-1.5 pack a day. Dipped off/on while smoking as well, then moved to primarily dipping and only smoking occasionally for another 10 years. Gave up dipping and started vaping about 3 years ago. Still vape today (way too much) and smoke on rare occasions.

Need to just give it all up but I lean pretty heavy on the vaping during a cut. Helps curb hunger and well...like I said nicotine is my biggest damn vice.

Ya I'm the same on drinking I guess. Won't drink new years or anything but they'll be random times where I'll drink socially.

I've heard horror stories about vaping or is that just PR from anti tobacco?

The one benefit I receive from nicotine is it calms me down/ helps me sleep. I used to go days without sleep when I quit for six months.

If you want to curb hunger during a cut add some Adderall.

Quit snuff about 21 months ago, after about ten years of use. After the initial withdrawals it went fairly smoothly.. one day at a time is how i took it. And eventually i just didnt think about it all day long. Lately though, the cravings have been hitting me again. You all who've been quit for several years, do you still deal with this on occasion? Does there come a time when you're completely over it for good or is this a life long battle?

I quit 8 months ago and will never smoke or drink ever again!

Booze/cigarettes/rec shit is all fun and games till you have a heart attack and or trouble breathing then you look back and realize how fucking stupid all that bullshit was!

Then you have guys who say "Well at least I'll be a good looking corpse"

Quitting smoking/booze is easy if you want to quit!

Congrats on the quit! It seems like everyone has a different experience. Myself, I never thought it was easy. in the past i've quit in the morning, and by noon im digging through the shop trash can looking for that can of snuff. looking back, thats embaressing.

I've heard the same stories about vaping. Who knows? None of that shit is good for us either way.

Dipping is tough man. I would say quitting snuff is tougher than smokes. Although I only had a brief period of not dipping and then started vaping.

I was dipping so often that I would sometimes use it while training. Now, I was powerlifting at the time and some of the guys I trained with dipped as well so it wasn't unusual.

Only time I'm on the dip hard is in a tree stand.
Always keep a tin of Copenhagen long for hunting season.
I like it, but my wife fucking hates it, so I only touch it for one week a year.
Happy wife happy life i guess, no addiction is worth pissing off your loved ones IMHO.

My bro smokes, but if his son is at home... that fucker wont light up no matter what.

Red Man Golden Blend, that was my fucking jam in the deer blind. Still grab a pouch every season but that's the only time I chew now

hats off to you guys who can pick it up for a week and drop it. I'm too scared to even smell the stuff.

It's retarded. I go all week then feel great. Friends family and a couple beers on the weekends..... I feel like garbage on Monday and am honestly ashamed to say I have skipped more than a few Monday AM cardio sessions.
