States that don't allow you to self-requisition blood tests? What do y'all who live in those shitholes do??? lol

Im in NJ.. private bloods are a no.go.. I've tried.to do it in PA..since I'm only 40 mins from there.. didn't work.. I now do the finger pick test.. because there is no local lab involved.. the results are not as accurate I believe but it's far better then nothing in my opinion.. my girlfriend works for high end dermatologist.. I'm currently working/she's is currently working on getting her lab they use.. basically she would draw my blood send it in and do the tests needed.. no insurance nobody know but me here and her office manager..
I'm in NJ, order them on Private MD labs and drive over to PA to quest and have them drawn. Have done it this way for 4 seperate occasions over past year most recently 2 weeks ago.

Damn that sucks. I am really skeptical of the accuracy of the finger prick tests. I feel like normal labs wouldn't be taking vials on vials of blood if they didn't have to?

Yeah, I could probably find a doctor to go through, but then I would have to disclose my AAS use and I am not willing to do that. I think i brought it up in another thread, but my chart already makes me look like a fucking walking disease encyclopedia! I don't want to add more to it...

Yeah, but even this doesn't make sense, because if it was all about profit, wouldn't they be all about letting people purchase their own tests whenever they want? That is money going into the economy...or do they just want things to get so bad that you are fucked and instantly have to be on medication forever? lol...fucking bullshit...

I'm glad you have SOME option, but damn that fucking sucks. So you drive an hour each way? How often do you get your blood tests done? Just curious what you are going through to ensure your blood markers and okay.1

Yes, but I personally go through a third party because it is WAY cheaper. Like I save 100 bucks for each lab because the current clinic I go to is so much cheaper. Want your free and total test (LC/MS?) $27. Want lipids, CBC, and CMP AND DHEA Sulfate? All three of those combined will run you $41. PSA is $15. Free and total PSA is $25. It is bananas how cheap it is and I fucking love it. They go through HealthLabs and get a MASSIVE discount, because on the HealthLabs website things are way more expensive than what I pay (F&T test is $99 on their website). I don't know HOW the clinic gets such a huge discount, but it is something I really take advantage of a lot. Plus I charge it to my FSA, so it's coming out of untaxed income.

Regardless, I only do my TRT labs twice year and obviously can't be on cycle when I do that draw... When I want to do mid-cycle blood tests, I can't possibly go through my TRT provider and have them see my total T is at 4000 and my E2 is at 110. They'd give me the ultimatum to stop using or else. So I HAVE to get those on my own anyway.

Thankfully the state I am moving to (North Carolina) still allows self-prescribed blood tests. So I am safe there. I was looking at Tennessee for awhile, but I don't think they do? Perhaps someone who lives in TN can help here. This document says they don't, but it is also dated because it says NC doesn't either and it definitely does now.

I'm just wondering what people do, do you drive hours to go get your test? Do you just neglect to get on-cycle blood tests? (I hope not!!) To me doing these blood tests is one of the most important things we can do.

Thanks yall!!
It's still more profit for the medical industry if you can't order your own bloodwork, since it requires multiple doctor visits, and they can make further recommendations based on the results. They can also charge whatever the hell they want, and don't have to compete with labs that allow the patient to shop around.

They also charge insurance companies astronomical prices, and the insurance companies adjust payments and premiums acordingly.

Even with socialist medicine, the medical industry charges whatever the fuck they want, and the government simply pays, then adjusts taxes accordingly.

The greatest thing that can possibly happen for the individual is a free market. The government should be minimally involved in any market, including the medical industry. That way, hospitals are forced to compete, and unaffordable products are quite simply impossible.

Where you able to find a list of states that don’t allow ??
Just google Direct Access Testing "State by State" or "State List" and see what you can find. I can only find one, this one, which I know for a fact has a couple inaccuracies, but it is the best I have ever found.

I think the easiest way is to go to a Quest or whatever lab service and try to buy a test for your state. If it allows you, then you are good to go. If not, then your state sucks and you should move to a new state! lol

I did this exactly and she asked for my ID and the front desk lady said I my id.is.ojt.of state and tuned me away
. Maybe I'll try again and call another lab
That's fucked up! Definitely try another lab. Just explain that this is the closest draw location to you, or say you are in this state/city for business for the day and figured you swing by and get the test done here. That might ease their minds if they ask questions. Maybe wear a tucked in polo and some nice pants so you look somewhat professional.

I will try another lab.. it makes no sense. Why I can't get vloodwork in this sfate.. why can't I monitor my own health markers? If.you.think about it.. it really is my right no? And I pay a pretty pennies pennies a full panel.. shit like this I will never understand.. land.of the free "but"...

Some of those labs are like that and there's some very persnickety people at some locations.

Persnickety: nice word! I always enjoy seeing people use uncommon words in their interactions. Gives me hope that our language isn't devolving into a bunch of mumbles and memes :)

I live in NY the soyboy-haven and am about to have to drive 145 miles ONE WAY to get my bloods done in fucking PA.

I should be able to find out what's in MY OWN FUCKING blood if I want if I am willing to pay for the services, but unfortunately I live in a nanny state.

Yeah it's some fucking BS, I'm sorry you have to go through that! that's a massive drive!! Open Access Testing should be allowed nation wide as a federal law. All people have access to get whatever tests they want, at their discretion, if they are paying out of pocket.

Yeah my TRT clinic is all virtual so when I first started he had to write me a prescription to get my bloods drawn in this cuck-ass state. Emailed it to me and I printed it out and took it to my local hospital where they do bloodwork. You would think there would be an online service where you could pay to have a doc Rx the bloodwork for you like this? Might be a bit on the shady side but it sure beats the fucking drive I have to take.

This would be a great thing to have at the federal level and I would not mind paying out of pocket for such tests if it ensures being discreet. Maybe lobby your congressperson for this?

Would be nice if sites like PrivateMDLabs, LabsMD, etc. have a workaround where they contract with doctors licensed in your state (ones that ban people from ordering their own bloodwork) to sign off and order your bloodwork for you in order to satisfy the letter and spirit of the law in such state.

That would be nice, but the point is the government has no right to keep me from finding out what’s in my own fucking blood in the first place.

Obviously I’m not the only dude in NY running gear, highly doubt every one is driving all the way to PA to get bloods done. Many probably just skip it and manage E2 based on sides only. Shit I know what my E2 is at with 200mg/week test c so for 350mg/400mg per week test c/primo e plus proviron I might just do the same if anything it’s probably too low.

Fuck NY

I have been hearing a lot of people are fixing to move out of that state for a variety of reasons.

I don't get that at all...
I live in a country with free healthcare and we can requisite one comprehensive blood test a year, sometimes more depending on the doc.

Other than that you are free to go and have your shit tested whenever you want out of pocket. Not really cheap without a presecription (around 80€ for the regular blood's - TT, FT, E2, FSH, LH, Hemogram and lipid profile) but you can still do it whenever you want.

Can someone explain to me the logic behind those bans?

There is no fucking logic, and those in gov’t calling the shots on that are able to get away with it because frankly the average American is fat, out of shape, and too stupid to give a fuck about their blood work. Ironically the only ones who want their own blood work to make sure everything is in check are the ones on gear, imagine that.
