Can you still get roid acne if you remove your hair follicles from your chest?

Actually, it appears that Bork could be telling the truth. I didn't think hair follicles got pimples either. But according to this article from a John Hopkin's website acne is a disorder of both hair follicles and sebaceous glands.

Acne

"What is acne?
Acne is a disorder of the hair follicles and oil glands (sebaceous glands). The sebaceous glands secrete oils (sebum) to keep the skin moist. When the glands get clogged, it can lead to pimples and cysts."

Looks like laser hair removal does help improve acne, too. I just looked that up. But do you permanently want to remove your body hair? I'd talk to a dermatologist first for some topical solutions.

The sebaceous glands are what get over-activated by steroid use. As much as I would love to see @Bork go to the effort and expense of removing all his hair follicles, I’m afraid it’s not going to solve his acne issues.

Accutane is a common acne medication that works by shrinking the sebaceous glands. It’s a permanent solution to the problem. I ran accutane. I still have hair follicles. I no longer have cystic acne. I don’t know what else to say other than go ahead and zap your hair follicles and prove to yourself how stupid you are @Bork. Don’t let common sense hold you back.

Here is an idea...go try it and see for yourself if it works or not. Worse that'll happen is it won't and you'll have a bare chest that shows more definition anyways, and THEN you will truly have an answer. You can come back to this thread and say ,"hey, this didn't work from my own personal experience." Then some other guy down the road will see it and you will have helped him out from your own input and experience!

Bump on the accutane do it until your body is unable to get pimples.

Hard on your liver so no orals and make sure no tanning while on it.

Also get chap stick because you will be chapped AF
