As I wrote earlier. I also tried it with bread and of course with butter. But with a lot of it, my stomach was overwhelmed. But when I used rice, but it boiled too much, and coconut oil, it helped me gain carbohydratesI have been utilizing bread to get carbs.

Our starter is going to be 4 years old in a month or so!
I'll add that we use sourdough for EVERYTHING. Pizza crust, pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls. It's really really good.

Sourdough is super simple. It is much easier to digest than other bread because the yeast partially digests and breaks down the gluten and carb..
800 grams king arthur organic bread flour (can also do half whole wheat or use all purpose)
350 grams Sourdough starter
400 grams water
20 grams salt
Mix them all together. You need to learn the techniques to shape the bread
Also can search for the slap and fold technique. Theres lots of videos online showing how to shape your loaf.![]()

Then you either let it proof at room temp or at inbthe fridge. Room temp is faster and the fridge is slower
If in the fridge then take it out a few hours so it can warm up before baking.
You also can use a razor or something similar to cut a vent in the top of the loaf. Otherwise you may get a bulgy-uneven load

Most definitely! Yeah it's super easy, most of it is just waiting. Having a dutch oven is hugely helpful too in getting it to cook evenly without burning at all. Line the top and bottom with tin foil then parchment paper in between the bread and foil.Thanks for the recipe. Showed my wife, she promised to try to do it. You are a damn lucky man. I would say so. And I’m sure that homemade food is much better digested, but I’m not even talking about taste at all. I'm fucking spoiled as hell my man!!

Getting the cooking time down is tough, our old ass oven needs to be broiled 475-500 for an hour covered then like 15 mins uncovered to brown the top nicely and get that good crust that's not TOO thick andtough but nice. it's all an experiment though, depending on how you like your bread and your particular oven. have fun and enjoy!!
One last thing, the ingredients mix easier if you mix the starter with warm water, thdn add the flour. Not all at once, that can give you chunks of flour.
