Sometimes these phone scams pop up and it could be unrelated to your source, but it sounds like it probably is.

If your order is crossing several countries and the source put your phone on the label, it could be that someone on the way transporting it uses phone numbers to scam people. So what I mean is that the source itself might not be the culprit.
