No brother this is not right. Just do the math on a calculator of what they're telling you to put in and it comes out to be 195ml, but you're only trying to make 150ml. Therefore your dosage is going to end up being around 225mg, and that's just a guess off the top of my head but to answer your question, no this does not look right. Do not use these calculators, they will never give you the proper amounts. Use a pen and paper a your own calculator. It's not hard
I agree I do the math at
1% ba
18-20% bb depends on what I’m making sometimes even 15%bb
The displacement of raws
.9 x the amount in grams of raw
The difference in mct oil
That’s it and if you measure with a graduated cylinder you will be dam close and I usually put the difference of mct oil 2-3ml higher than what I calculated but my grams of raws always has about 10% overage of the concentration I want to make so if it’s 100ml at 250mg per ml I’ll add about 27g or so

Just wanted to give another suggestion in addition to laxbro.

Buy a heated magnetic stirrer and use PTFE stir bars.

I also use an IR thermometer I bought at home depot for $30. This is just a good touchless method of monitoring the temperature while also decreasing the chances of contaminates and germs being introduced while checking the temperature of your brew.

Also invest in a nice name brand calibrated glassware. Cheap glassware is frequently off by its measurements or it could burst while sterilizing it in the oven. Fisher scientific, medlabsupply, ect.
All solid advice 5scoops. IR thermometers are fucking great tools. same with the ptfe stir bars. I just do things so cheaply i havent wanted to invest much into my set up since its just for myself. I also live in a smallish apartment in a decently sized city so I WISH i had more than a desktop to brew on lol.

Are you guys single or your partners ok with it?

I have to sneak in my brewing time when everyone is out of the house which is like once in two or 3 months lmao. I miss living alone.

Nah my wife is cool with it. When I first got on TRT she saw the immediate difference and she and I have been together since I was 21 got on TRt at 31. She said I immediately turned back into the man she fell in love with. So the home brewing is just the most economical way to ensure I stay healthy.

She also takes HgH and trains, occasionally takes Ana car, so she jumped in with me. Over 3 years she’s gone from 98lbs to low 130’s and leaner.

So I’m really lucky to have a supportive ass partner.

No offense taken at all. It’s a nuanced point that someone would only understand if they had taken college level chemistry and physics.

I have 3 years of college chemistry under my belt,General/Organic/Biochemistry, not to say I’m an expert but I have a good fundamental understanding of chemistry/physics and the thermodynamic law that dictate this kind of thing.

Basically, for a substance to change phase ex: solid to liquid as in brewing. A certain amount of energy must be input to drive that change. Otherwise things would randomly dissolve and explode constantly. Think of it as the energy barrier that keeps thing the way they are.

The melting point of a substance is a indicator of how much energy in the form of heat must be added to a solid to get it to turn into a liquid with no other factors. Now solvents are present to lower that amount of energy needed to make the phase change happen. In this example that is the carrier oil and BB.

Thus in the solution of Bb and carrier oil the actual temperature needed to make the phase change is often time next to zero. Although adding heat will speed the process up.

One of the hallmarks of skilled brewers seems to be they use the least amount of heat and opt for an increased time of solute (hormone) in solution (BB and carrier oil).

I have seen cat cafe USA’s brewer make this statement several times and his products seem to be of very high quality.

As far as literature goes just Wikipedia solvents, thermodynamics of solute solvent interactions etc. what I explained pulls concepts from several principles of chemistry so it’s doubtful you will find one place that puts it all together in this context which is why I went ahead and explained it.

As I said no expert here but it’s pretty fundamental principles of general first year chemistry at play. No chemical reactions occur in the brewing process your just affecting a phase change of a substance and then filtering to be sterile. It’s incredibly simple
I've read a lot of anecdotes that reaching the melting point of the raws during the brew process makes for a more stable product. It doesn't crash as easily and decreases PIP.

Those are anecdotes. I have personally experienced that it is not necessary at all to do this and the science that dictates how these things work has been established for a long time but you do you.

The melting point of the raws has no relevance once you put them in a solution with solvents. You can get the temp up to what the MP is stated, but it is not needed and not optimal.

It's really hard to hide shit from a woman if you're living with her. My girl knows, she helps me brew lol. But we keep it secret from everyone else including our family.

I apologize for coming across like an asshole, im dealing with my no good fucking property management company who didnt fix our laundry and now im up at 1am doing laundry at work before I have to go into work at 7am tomorrow.

So fucking pissed lol

Dude I HATED renting. What bothered me the most was the apartment inspections every 6 months. Such an invasion of privacy.....I was always afraid they'd find my stash.

I finally saved up enough money to buy a condo two years ago. It's been a HUGE stress reliever. No more people in my house, no perpetually increasing rent, no more drama with trashy neighbors.

I hope you find a house soon brother. That stress of renting is unbearable in my opinion.

Also idk if you know this, but most laundromats will do your regular laundry for you and you just pick it up when you want. Folded and all.

Buy yeah I've been in your shoes, doing laundry at a 24hr laundromat in the middle of the night. Shits annoying

Haha thanks for the sympathy man. Congratulations on buying a place. I really got my shit together only a few years ago, still building up that down payment and actually trying to change careers in order to make it happen faster.

Also so my wife and I can move to where my brothers and her family are at. I can’t have kids, was infertile well before my steroid use, so we want to be around our families and be that wild ass Aunt and Uncle to all our siblings children.

Really thank you, I’ve really enjoyed the discussion on this thread and a couple of other places. Has helped my shit day have a few bright spots.

I have to say though I’m in a cutoff T-shirt at this place and am looking saucy, it’s really throwing all the tweakers and shit for a loop. Real entertaining haha

I get that man, It's expensive to live nowadays, Everything goes up but pay stays the same. It can be very demoralizing at times. But you, me, and everyone else on this forum have what most people dont...strong willpower and discipline. The bodybuilding lifestyle is not an easy one or one that most people can handle. So I'm confident you'll persevere. Just remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. Great things, take time.

Hahaha 24hr laundromats are where all the action happens lol. I remember years ago during covid my dryer was broken so I went to this ghetto 24hr laundromat and like 95% of the people there were clearly high on drugs lol. It was like a real life sitcom lol.

If you ever want to chat, you can pm me man. I do work crazy hours (on call hvac) so I may not reply immediately.

But don't let a bump in the road slow you down. These things, and how we handle it, is what makes a man a man.

Thanks brother appreciate you. Yeah bodybuilding really showed me that I had no idea what I was capable of. Now I just approach things with the mindset of everyday a little better and execution with intention in everything I do. No where near perfect but I’m on the path and that’s really where happiness lies.

Thanks again.

HL has or had test c at 300 mg( tested) and they don't use eo.
You can try a higher bb if you don't want to use eo. It should hold with one of those variant
Can you use 40% BB??? Would that cause issues if pinned?

I always smell bs when people use the word science to describe science. My ex also had 3 years of college chemistry and she wouldn't know jack about brewing. I've been reading this sub forum long enough to know that reaching melting points probably plays a larger role than simply helping the raws falling into solution faster.

Oh boy here we go lol

Melting points huh? You sure about that?

@Deskoze38192 mind explaining what's the benefit of adding BA at the end instead of mixing it at the start? I just noticed you guys doing it after I reread your post. Thanks.

BA is an alcohol and heat causes alcohol to evaporate. By adding it at the end, you are lessening how much heat it's exposed to and thus how much BA evaporates.
