Help with splitting 5mg Finasteride capsule

Got some UGL 5mg Finasteride capsules. Hair loss protocol says 1mg per day. What would be best way to split these? Can i dilute these in water or some liquid and use syringe to administer 1/5 orally? Sounds crude, but that was only thing i could think of.

Throw it away and buy 1mg tablets from one of the Indian sources bro. It's too cheap to fuck around with.

How do you know there 5 mg? And why would a source sell 5 mg when they know a dose is usually 1 mg?

Agree with that. but at this point it is what i have and need a solution.

You could triturate / blend the contents with a filler & then recap. That’s a topic for the Homebrew forum though.

Personally, given how ridiculously cheap Indian pharma finasteride tablets are from multiple vendors in the Underground, I’d just bin what you have & buy Indian pharma, particularly if you’re not used to capping, calculating powder density / volume etc. Besides which, by the time you’ve bought capping kit, caps, filler, digital scales & a pestle & mortar, you’ll probably end up spending more money than just buying Indian pharma.

I'd never split a capsule.
Even if you got a fine scale - there is most certainly filler - so if you weigh it out could have more active ingridient in one and more filler in the other half.

You can save your hair with a lot less than 1mg. Pharma tells you to use 1mg because they wont make much money otherwise.

Telehealth is in the business of making money. That's why the refills are monthly or every 2 months. Can you post a edited screenshot showing a year's worth of refills for any medication at all? Because I've used Telehealth websites for many years

I think he’s referring to the UGL who made his 5mg caps having a v-type tumble blender. In which case, he’s “sort of” right in that it’s certainly possible for them to have achieved a homogeneous powder blend.

Whether they did use a tumble blender though is anyone’s guess & even if so, getting a homogeneous blend isn’t as simple as just chucking in the ingredients & leaving it tumbling for a random period of time - it’s more complex than that, which is why you often see poor &/or inconsistent dosing from UGL orals, be they capsules or tablets.

I don't even know what a "v mixer" is - but even if I would, I would not trust an UGL to get it done 100% correct everytime.

What I mean is a v mixer mixes api and filler evenly. So if they have 3 cap testing on the oral, then idk how the api and filler could magically separate once its capped

Like I said, I don’t trust Ulabs.
But that is just me - I usually trust no one.
I do get my T3 and Aromasin from doc and pick it up in pharmacy myself - I even hesitate to trust that they mixed it 100% correctly. So when you take quarters that is it 100% quarter active ingredient.
