Apologies for asking so my questions but this one is a big one. Has anyone hear used steroids while being in the army? I assume it’s a massive no-no. I think it’s time to say goodbye to my steroid journey. It’s strongly on the agenda.

Good luck I hope it works out for you in the end and pays off with benefits, connections ect.

I wanted to go bad back in the day for the journey but the ends just did not justify the means. I think today enlisted pay starts at 12 hr or what Is it? An in ca McDonalds is paying hs kids 20hr?

I have multiple friends who have served 1 juice head. He told me worst case scenario if he got busted hed get a demerit.

I have seen a shit ton of cops even who are juicing, they can at least get trt. Look at ronnie Coleman the goat lmao Come on man?

Just don't tell anyone about it no matter what - don't tell your girlfriend, your best friend, don't tell anyone period.
Don't bring roids into the barracks, don't keep them in your car, don't do dumb shit. Use long esters so you can get away with doing your shots on the weekend or whenever you have a bit of downtime. You'll have to make due with what you're given. Dig a hole in the forest and stash a cooler bag in there if you have to. Doing what you gotta do is a big part of life as a soldier. If you want it bad enough you'll handle it.

I just retired in April…

Many guys do it and it’s not on the normal panel…. However… If you are suspected, they will test you and you will get an other than honorable discharge.

I will say this though…. I’ve seen many…. And I mean many guys do it and make massively quick transformations. Only one guy was tested… and that was because he had anger issues and a big mouth.

Take it for what it’s worth.

Many people juice, ive seen it with my own two eyes. The entry process they test for it, but once you get to your unit its only piss test, typical drug piss test(USMC 2019-2023)

Oh shit i was under the impression that they did, as i was
Are you sure you were?

I was a UPC for a Deps station in Miami. We only did the standard panel. Steroids tests are extremely expensive and have to be sent to a different lab to be tested as the ones the Navy/MC normally utilize don’t have the capability to test.

Active, Guard, or Reserve?

You won't get hit on any random drug tests because it's not apart of the drug panel. If they have suspicion they can and have tested individuals. If they test everyone you'll get a dishonorable discharge and possible jail time with hard labor. But if they single you out, and test just you and not the whole group you will only get a general seperation under " honorable conditions". Not "honorable" which means you can kiss goodbye using your military time to help you with future employment.

If they find it on you, your car, or someone rats you out then you're fucked. You will go to jail with hard labor and dishonorable discharge.

The military has the right to check all your mail if you live on base or are stationed over seas. They tear the box open, check contents, then tape it back up. This happened very often while I was overseas.

The cost to benefit analysis you need to run through your mind should equal ZERO benefit. DONT CHANCE IT!

That would be a sad day for my country for a bad ass e9 to get a other than honorable, for popping for test levels 3x the norm. One time.

If you have been using gear, your best bet is to quit. After it's out of your system...at least 3 months, have your doc run labs. Tell them you think you have low test levels. Research the symptoms of low t so you can tell your doc why you want the test.

If you get prescribed test by your doc before you enter service the military will honor the diagnosis and allow trt. But don't think you can get away with doing a cycle. It's simply not worth it.

Every branch of service is different. I'm not sure if low test and trt is disqualifying or not.

I did 15 years of service gear free, it's not that bad. Id been off test for a while but believe i still hadnt fully recovered. I completely recovered during basic training and went up to 5'9" 220lbs from muscle memory.

It was kind of nice seeing what my genetic max was. But running really sucked at 220lbs so I would do a starvation diet before the pt test. I would drop down to at least 210lbs. 220lbs was a lean natural 15% bf but I sometimes would drift up to 230lbs and that was just too heavy for running.

And yes, because I was growing so fast while everyone else was getting skinny I was tested in basic. My Training instructors were constantly looking me up and down and chatting between each other. When they finally just asked me straight up, I said no and actually volunteered to be tested. And back then it was expensive as shit. The test had to be sent off to some Olympic committee or some shit. MTI said it cost about $10k. But today I'm sure testing has become a lot more simplified and much easier and cheaper.

I was only 194lbs and flat as hell when I entered training and I had to get really cut just to get down that low. Id been off test for at least a year if i remember correctly.194lbs was the cutoff for my height.Talk about zero glycogen in my muscles. I lost a lot of muscle needless to say. It appeared to them like I was growing WAY to fast once I recovered and got some glycogen back into my body. Fucking muscle memory is so dam awesome!

When it was all done I had to get a waver stating I wasn't fat just high muscle volume.

When you add basic pay, food allowance, housing allowance, and tax advantage it's actually not that bad. If you worked only a 40hr work week it's about $20 a hr. This ain't that bad for coming straight out of high school. But if you've been in the military we all know you're gonna be working more than 40hrs a week. Plus all the other sacrifices you have to make on top of it all.

GI bill is pretty nice too if you plan on going to college at some point.

Not to mention low interest loans and mortgages.
