Does this look like enough to distribute?

Probably got "distribution" because we are only seeing 1/3 the gear. I bet if we follow up in a year with Acton Police we see the fucking K9s jacked.

Back in the 90s a guy I knew got pulled over and searched. They took his gear, threw his weed in the gutter and let him go. lol
They always usto make me stomp my weed out, never got arrested for it, it I always got stopped by real cops, if you get a rookie that’s a whole other ball game.

Distribution. Shaking my head. I saw a cop case in New Mexico where he got charged with distribution for having 48 winstrol pills . . . I'll see if I can find it.
Does anyone have any info fed or state what could be considered sales state vs fed? I’m sure it’s not much.

But with that little amount, the distribution change only stuck because he got pulled over on a interstate freeway?

I found it and posted it right here in this forum. It is hilariously entertaining. Give it a read.

And nope, not on the interstate. It was in his closet at home.

Wow, I had no idea. With the internet, I just assumed nobody would do that.
Our little community of online gear users seem to be a very small minority of gear users.
Almost all of the people I've spoken to either buy from some hookup or buy from napsgear or some other shitty big name distributer.
It's been really rare that people I've talked to are even aware of jano or forums

In my country all the guys i personally know that doing gear, they source their stuff local from gym hookups or from a friend that has a friend. No one has a clue about testing, purities or carrier oils.

same here. noone belive that you can order from internet. noone knows about testing.

you are supposed to pay at gym to some guy, wait few weeks ane he will give it to you.

Curious as to legality of vehicular search. Did he consent ? I’d he was detained for driving w suspended license does that give cops the auth to search the car thoroughly ?

I am thinking personal stash.

Stopped for broken windshield.

Driving on a suspended license.

The picture is not the entire 'stash.' Look at the edges and you can see there is more. How much more is anyone's guess.

Regardless, if he's driving around with only what is in the picture, it is still very suspicious IMO.

I don't know anyone that would drive around with that much gear in their car and I assume one would do so if they are dealing locally. I also don't know anyone that drives around with their personal stash.

If the guy got pulled over with a few vials and tabs, yeah, much different story.

A gym friend of mine used to keep his stash in his truck so his wife wouldn’t see it. Easily that much. But I agree - the way it’s packaged and all that. Looks like he was ready to do a drop off.
So folks who are not dealers keep it in the car. We see two here who know about others doing it right here in this thread.

I don't think "having it in the car" is going to rise to the level of beyond a reasonable doubt when it comes to evidence.

Although one never knows what a jury may do.
its going to depend on where this happened, in some states having amounts over a certain threshold is automatic intent to distribute.
Who knows what that determination would be for something like AAS.

I dont think they would have a hard time pinning a distribute charge.

It is Acton PD, in Massachusetts.

ChatGPT saving half an hour of reading mass statutes to find the answer.

  • is there any guidelines regarding specific quantities?

  • ChatGPT said:

Massachusetts law does not specify exact threshold quantities of anabolic steroids that automatically distinguish possession from intent to distribute—unlike some other controlled substances like heroin or cocaine, which have weight-based thresholds. Instead, prosecutors and courts determine intent based on the totality of the circumstances, including:
    • Amount of steroids found – While there’s no set number, a small personal-use amount (e.g., a single vial or a small number of pills) may be considered possession, whereas multiple vials, a large pill count, or bulk powder could suggest distribution.
    • Form and packaging – If steroids are individually packaged (e.g., multiple preloaded syringes, blister packs, or separate baggies), that may suggest intent to distribute.
    • Additional evidence – Items such as scales, customer lists, transaction records, or large amounts of cash can be used to prove an intent to distribute, even with a relatively small quantity.
    • Statements or digital evidence – Text messages, emails, or social media messages discussing sales can support a distribution charge.
Since Massachusetts law relies on circumstantial evidence rather than fixed weight-based guidelines, a charge of possession with intent to distribute can sometimes be challenged in court if there is no clear proof of distribution activities.

If you're concerned about a specific situation, a Massachusetts criminal defense attorney would be best suited to assess the case details. Would you like help finding relevant legal resources?

TLDR; steroids dont have a specific threshold like rec drugs in which over a certain quantity it is automatic intent to distribute, at least in mass.
Its going to come down to prosecutor's discretion and circumstantial evidence.
