High red blood count

I don’t think the guy bled out he passed out lol.

probably scary enough situation to not try again.

back 10 years when i donated i think 3-4x, as teen, i always passed out. i layed and even then i passed out. not cause of fear but my head got dizzy and lights switched off.

i remember once they called me that i should seek doctor cause my liver values were terrible. i guess donation few days after 3 day binge drinkin wasnt best idea

Lots of folks have been doing self phlebotomy since they don’t have a choice. I personally wouldn’t though especially without someone besides me just in case something goes awry.

I would rather quit this vice if something really threatens my health that requires me to do something like this.

im in same boat. i guess i would find some nurse, pay her idk, 50€?... to do it to me at home. normally, there are nurnes that do stuff like that, when you need drip of vitamins or inject. but im not sure about draining blood...

unfortunatelly, i think i will need to find some one day cause no donation center ever take my blood... and medical pleubothomy is probably no go with my doctor also. i had tuberculosis shot today and i needed it into one particular spot cause they wanted left delt where i injected 1ml of oil yesterday... i had bit of acne on traps/delts and they were like what is this...
weird situation

Recently did some blood tests to check myself in preparation for my next cycle only to find out im kinda fucked. I have 55.5 hematocrit and rbc was around 6.18. Didnt even know at first that 6.18 was bad cuz my lab only signals it as bad at 6.5. I found out reading stuff on this forum.

Did a cycle, no crazy doses but i did use anadrol which is known to significantly increase red blood cells. Been 2.5 months still since then, also i was pretty damn dehydrated on the blood draw day (we've had polar vortex previously and it was the very first real summer day and car was hot af on the way too).

This past week its been dawning on me just how fucked i am, walking around with imminent blood issues. Note: last month i also got screwed by my neighbour with his damn rennovations not letting me sleep for 2 weeks straight then occasionaly waking me up every 4-5 days with his noise so i got a flare up of a chronic sinus infection i have which also caused some apnea. Been working every day to fix it so thats pretty much gone, been drinking water like crazy to at least lower the risks. Im testing again next week at the end of it.

It is difficult to drain your own. Not easy. Certainly not so easy to drain too much. Your first time you might be lucky to manage half a pint.

There are about 6 liters of blood in a 220 pound male.

You pass out at about 40% blood loss. 2.4 liters. That's about 5 pints of blood. They take only one pint in a donation.

Double red puts back everything but the red blood cells, representing about 2 pints worth. You typically do not feel anything like light headedness or dizziness. If anything a person with a high red blood cell count will feel better if there is any difference at all.

in here they take 500ml from male i think. not more. thats the size of bag if i remember correctly. for woman its bit less i think

Excluded from blood donation are:
• Those who ever used illegal drugs administered intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle)
Anyone taking anabolic steroids without a doctors’ prescription.
Men and women who ever provided or received sexual service for money or drugs.
+ auroimunne disease + humira

im basicly fucked :D finding nurse that would be willing to take my blood at home is impossible and doctor ordered pleubothomy is almost impossible also.
i would have to come clean that i take AAS and it would mean lot of issues in here, mainly with law.

pity. does 100mg aspirin daily help with this issue guys?

How exactly would they know youre taking anabolic steroids? Sorry if i didnt pay attention to other stuff you said. Do they test specifically to find out?

It is the same here. We just call it a pint because 500 ml is 1.05669 pints.

Science and medicine use the metric system, but the rest of us use British imperial measurements.

No, it's the same, which is kind of crazy. A 220 pound male has 6000 ml of blood, and they take 500ml. A woman who weighs 110 pounds (the minimum for Red Cross) still donates 500ml but she has only 4000ml of blood.

The larger male would have to give 750ml just to equal the volume removed from the female.

no they dont test. you fill some paperwork with your signature and you claim you answered honestly.

but steroid use is not problem in my case, humira is. auto autoimunne itself.

wow. i think ussually men can go 4 times per year and women only 4 times.

but its interesting that they take away same amount.

Thanks for the comments here, just got my bloods back on 200mg/week TRT and Hematocrit is at 53.4. Not sure what total test and E2 are those aren't back yet.

I'll be curious to see what total test and e2 are. Do you take anything else, like an AI?

200mg is a lot.

How is your blood pressure?
