3 Day Fast while doing HGH/Reta Injections

I want to do a 3 day water fast to induce some autophagy to prep myself for a new cycle of MOTS-C

Currently taking 5iu GH/day and 10mg Retatrutide/wk. Anyone have any experience taking these compounds in a long term fasted state?

I have done intermittent fasting on all those drugs but 24 hours is the longest I fast normally. No issues here. I don’t see how one 3 day fast while using them would be a problem.

I did multiple fastings including a 3.5 days on Reta and cjc/ipa (yes I know it's not the GH discusses here).

Bottom line, depending on your body composition, not worth it. A good healthy diet will be more beneficial in my opinion. Doing one isn't going to cause any issues, so if you really want to go for it. However, repeated fastings, especially when I was low BF (<15) I felt so tired, no energy and the effect lasted for days even after eating. More so after losing more and more weight.

If you have reserve fat, 18%+ the effect might not hit you hard. I would still push against it.

10mg Reta?! Holy smokes man...

Anyways. You won't have any issues. Make sure you're using an electrolyte solution added to your water, otherwise you'll feel like shit. The longest fast I've done is 6 days, and usually after the first day it's not even that hard. Also, be prepared for some insane diarrhea when you eat for the first time. It always happened to me whenever I'd fast more than 2 days, even if I broke my fast with a VERY small amount of food (a few olives and a few hardboiled eggs, etc, etc).

Can you share the physical changes as you went through the process and end result.

Where you working during those 6 days?

I honestly not super excited to do it for the reasons you outline but to get properly set up to run MOTS-C and get the most out of it you need to induce autophagy and get your mitochondria as primed as possible for success.

Dont expect much from MOTS-C. For me it mostly improved my Insulin Resistance, lipids were better slightly and felt a tiny bit more energy in general. Combine that with other things to support mitochondrial health such as Carnitine, Ubiquinol, PQQ or things like Methelyne Blue and SLUPP. Also came across Actovigin but that seems like more of an endurance thing.

As for dosing i can recommend going with daily injections.

I felt extremely tired and hungry about 1.5 days into it. Days 2-3 I felt totally fine, night 3 I had issues sleeping, even on 10mg of Ambien, same for all the days afterwards. After day 2, I felt extremely euphoric, great mood, tons of energy. IIRC I started around ~215 and ended the 6 days around ~205. Was extremely flat after day 2. If I got a random headache (happens when water fasting, even with electrolytes), I would take roughly 500mg of salt under my tongue, and wash it down with mineral water. About 15-20mins after that I would be extremely vascular for a little bit, looked cool lol. Definitely wasn't thinking about sex, morning wood wasn't as strong either, 100% didn't pork my wife during that time-frame, haha. Mentally and physically I felt very "clean". I know that's a weird way to describe it, but that's about the only description that comes to mind.

The original goal was to do 7 days and squat 315 for 10 reps, bench 225 for 10 reps, and deadlift 405 for 5 reps. I, obviously, only made it to day 6, but still completed my lifts afterwards, went home, showered, and broke my fast - then ate a big meal ~1hr later. I only stopped at day 6 because this new taco place opened up the next day nearby and they were giving out free tacos :p

I worked 4 out of the 6 days while I was fasting, but luckily my job wasn't super physically demanding (at least most of the time), mainly just sitting in a car, driving around, walking around a little, nothing crazy. They were 12hr shifts as well, so it was easy to keep myself distracted from food.

I have already ran it for 4 weeks @ 15mg a week dosed 5mg m/w/f and it was a huge success. Increased my energy and sustain in the gym for those long workout days immensely. I'm a big fan of it and I saw great results.

It does help with energy and all that for sure. I just dont like running it at high doses as it makes the injection side itchy for me, 1mg a day in longer run works fine for me but it becomes more of a financial burden to run at higher doses like 4-5mg a day or so.

Have you noticed any changes to bloodworks?

not a problem

supplements that aid energy (you even might feel pretty good while fasting):

30 ml ABV (neutralized with 1 tbsp potassium bicarbonate for electrolytes)
10mg methylene blue 2x daily
1g taurine 2-3x daily
NAC or Cysteine

Nope, but please report here how it goes.

So this was a while ago but I haven't really been on here for a while but I know you asked for an update so here we go:

Did the three day fast, sucked day 1-2 but day 3 was awesome, felt amazing. I then did a cycle of MOTS-C and SS-31 for about 45 days doing 2.5mg/day of MOTS-C and 5mg SS-31 for 20 days until I ran out of that. Also Ran 7.5 mg methalyne blue a day oral pill form, still taking that 5 days a week.

I supported this with a bunch of other mitochondrial boosters including NMN, CoQ10, L-Carnitine L-Tartrate, Taurine, Magnesium, Niacin, Glutathione, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Astaxanthin.

I also supplemented L-methylfolate which is key as Methylation supports NAD levels → NAD⁺ activates SIRT1 → SIRT1 works alongside AMPK (activated by MOTS-c)

Overall major success, I have ran a cycle of MOTS before without the fasting and the proper mitochondrial and methylation support and while still effective this prepped and supported cycle was OUTSTANDING, amazing energy, mental clarity, resistance training output improved, my ability to sustain long sessions of cardio improved.

Recently did a full blood work up and I have been on 500 test/ 250 primo / 60 Nand / 8iu GH for the last 8 weeks and my blood work is PERFECT. Its like I never even went off a TRT dose. A lot of that is diet, daily fasted cardio, and supplementation support but I do believe MOTS-C is playing a role there as well. Happy non-disfunctional mitocondia produce less ROS and more ATP making everything run smoother reducing oxidative stress and inflammation which definitely has beneficial down stream effects when blasting.

Now im in maitenance mode, 5mg MOTS-C once a month to keep things humming. May do another fast and another cycle in 6-12 months. We shall see.

Great report. Mitochondrial health is so underestimated and overlooked
