I've been here less than 4 months, and it took me less than half that time to get a decent handle on the good vs bad sources. That's not a knock on you, it's just to show it can be done. The secret is to spend your time reading the source threads. I know some are 1000's of pages long, so sometimes you can just read the last XXX pages, but really reading through the source threads will give you an excellent feel for their reputation. You'll see people's general sentiment for the source, any issues that have arisen, how the source dealt with those issues, independent testing results from people sending in to Jano, etc... (Just be sure to ignore feedback from KoreanGuy. That idiot has a problem with literally every source and is a legitimate troll, and in all my reading of 1000's of pages, the only person I found that was absolutely worthy of being blocked) I ended up settling on two domestic sources, Stanford and Opti, and they represent over 80% of my stash. That's the thing though, you can't just read that last sentence and take it as gospel. One persons opinion alone isn't enough. Again, that's where reading through the source threads comes in. You're getting the entire communities feedback and consensus. Invest your time there, and you'll have a decent grasp on who is trustworthy and making quality gear, and who is reselling untested Chinese oils or otherwise needs to be avoided. Good luck out there.
