Hey, welcome! Former fatty reporting in. Your stomach looks a lot like mine did before I got serious. No two ways about it, you are fat my dude. This isn't meant to be an insult but a reality check. That's not "a little stubborn belly fat". That's obesity. Now is the time to lock tf in.
If you are 5'11'' 174 and your waistline looks like that then you likely have little to no appreciable muscle. That's good in the sense that you can likely shoot for recomposition (gain muscle while also losing fat). Overweight people excel at recomps because their bodies will fuel their resistance training with the stored calories in your adipose tissue while you eat in a deficit.
My advice? Decrease the kcals and up the cardio. With a proper GLP-1 the weight will fly off. I've never tried tirz personally but I had great success with Retatrutide if you are interested in trying something different.
Best of luck to you, brotha!
Without a doubt, it’s hard to lose weight much more because literally everyone tells me I’m too thin already, but all I can see is my fat fuckin stomach, no fat anywhere else, but yes, gonna double down on everything. My stomach looks horrible compared to the rest of my body, it’s so weirdHey, welcome! Former fatty reporting in. Your stomach looks a lot like mine did before I got serious. Let the man learn to fish.Depends on how aggressive you want to be. Do you know your TDEE or how to estimate it? figure that out then figure out how many calories are in a pound, how many pounds you want to lose, how quickly you want to lose them, cast a math spell and presto, you have your deficit.
You are like a muscular ConfuciusLet the man learn to fish.![]()

This just made me mad as hell. :/ I’m a tiny person, 5’0, and always maintained a healthy weight for my height. You know who told me I was too thin, or to eat a cheeseburger? Fatties. Their perception is so warped. I hate this double standard in society — it’s not acceptable for me to tell them they’re “too fat” or to “eat a salad.”everyone tells me I’m too thin already

Be honest, are any of the people telling you you’re “too thin” actually fit? No? Alright then. Pay them no mind and keep going.
Yea, it’s super confusing. I will have my trainer compliment me, and then people who haven’t seen me in awhile will say omg, you are so thin, etc etc, it really fucks with my mind, I can only see the fat on my stomach, my back looks good, arms, legs, etc, face, but I definitely need to lose weight around my stomach… been trying to work exclusively on this for a couple of years now, mounjaro really really really helped me, I would have complete strangers at planet fitness come up to me and compliment me and my transformation, overall, I can do pull ups, 300+ deadlifts (keep in mind, I’ve only been lifting heavy for a few years), and overall I feel a million times stronger than last year, but I don’t take progress pics, so my brain can only focus on my stomach… it fuckin sucksThis just made me mad as hell. :/ I’m a tiny person, 5’0, and always maintained a healthy weight for my height. complete strangers at planet fitness
it fuckin sucks
Of course the “trainer” is going to compliment you. They get paid to keep you coming back. Truth is most trainers have limited capabilities. It doesn’t take much to if someone has some determination to tell you to eat less and exercise as a trainer and have you lose weight and they look like a genius. Maybe I’m off but I’m assuming you’ve talked to your trainer about this issue. So either you don’t like his answer of he doesn’t know what the fuck he is doing. What does your workout look like? How many days a week? Cardio type and intensity? What’s your current caloric intake, macros etc… let’s have a look see what’s happening or isn’t happening.Yea, it’s super confusing. Any abs you’re seeing at that level are in your headHere is my thing, like when I up the tirz, I can see my obliques and two top abs, but then in my mind I’m like, well if I’m dieting this hard, I’m not gonna grow my muscles. I totally have body dysmorphia. So it’s fat right? No peptide would help me or anything?
Nah my trainer always questions my diet and cardio… but he was showing me on his computer how much stronger I have gotten in 6 months, and it’s crazy nuts… I go to orange theory twice a week, I guess I’ll eat below 2000 calories, and work out, I always hit my protein goal, which is 175+ dailyOf course the “trainer” is going to compliment you.
