That might be the worst he has ever(?) looked. I was never a fan of his physique, but I was not hoping for him to show up like that.

I have not yet watched a lot of videos, so these are my preliminary armchair coach analysis....

Hadi looks amazing, I can totally see him taking home the title again this yea.

I am not sure if it is Samson's extremely dark skin, but he does not look to be in that much better shape, but in some shots he looks a bit smaller than usual.

Derek is likely the biggest we've ever seen him, but his lack of striations also seems to have reached a new level. The lats in the front double biceps look particularly full and smooth...

Andrew fukking delivered, I had mentioned him as my wishful thinking contender before, but I did not see this coming.
He looks incredible next to Samson.

Martin looks great as well.

Keone deservedly won, but I expected him to look better on stage. Maybe the high-res photos will do him more justice.
Shaun really impressed me this year. Amazing condition.

I haven't followed competitive BB'ing in quite some years, but for 212 I thought this new bloke (Nihat Kaya) had one of the best physiques and deserved higher placing.

His proportions and fullness-to-dryness ratio were fantastic. Had one of the least distended guts.

Also: 20 years old?!?!

I feel so bad for samson. he is such a big guy that he started fading halfway through. I still do not like lunsford physique, too bubbly

I agree with everything you said. About Walker once again too much hype for THAT. Is he big? No effing doubt, but this is only one part of the equation. I believe he has messed his physique in a way that is no longer viable to reverse it.

I'm seeing allover the place how people talk about how he managed to get his midsection sorted but i just don't see this. Just a glimpse between him and martin side by side in the front double biceps and you'll see how wide it is compared to others. It's just sad because he's a cool guy but he needs to get down off his high horse, too much talking without reason.

Hadi looks sick, i really liked his package. Andrew was the biggest surprise of the night for me, he improved drastically and next to Samson in my eyes he looked way better! Still presentation is an issue and most probably it won't change but physique wise, damn he came in hot!

Keone was great but expecting to see him better, he wasn't that hard. On the other hand Clarida nailed the peaking, i doubt i've seen him better overall! He was way harder than keone, but the latter is just an Alien amongst mortals..

Nihat Kiya smoked it, first olympia show and he came in like he's in the game for years! I really like this kid, i think he's the youngest pro (20yo) and now is 22 or 23. He has a bright future and outstanding genetics.

i actually think hadi and samson are very close to each other.

hadi is a little more peeled little bigger than samson but idk if thats enough to make up for the height difference.

mr olympia derek, could very well be hadi. derek is biggest/almost best condition besides hadi but idk i dont like his look he looks watery, kinda bad tan.

Bless Nick Walker and the crazy amount of work he has put in...but the man looks like a shaved chimpanzee. I hope he accepts that his build and genetics is just not right for a 1st place Mr O finish and does something else. I can't imagine devoting that much time and years of your life to something that will just never have you.

Honestly this is one of the worst looking final lineups for the O I've seen. Modern X frame aesthetics are a fuckin' cancer in this sport

I like Nick the person a lot more than his physique. His mid section looks awful. Not a belly but just so fucking wide. Like his torso is wider than his quads. That’s not going to win anything. I feel bad for him.

Seems like it might be Derek, Andrew, Hadi, Martin / Samson, then Nick.

Samson also shrunk badly. Overdieted.

i just think andrew is a very very tall guy.

he has some years ahead of him to build more size onto his large frame.

i think nick walker is the only one with abnormal large arms compared to rest of his physique.

Not with those legs (from the front) and that back. That is bar far the worst overall back in the Top5/6.
I am sorry, but there is no kind of effort he could bring to transform this physique into one that is worthy of Top3 in such a line up.

I wish Samson hadn't done it. He would still look like a statue - or even more. Look at Samson's right shoulder in the front relaxed, compared to the left one...

Yes, forgot to mention him and the other Top4 guy, they both looked amazing!

This is my first year following bodybuilding. Been really enjoying it. Still learning how to compare the guys. Guys like Hadi and Derrick are massive but I have a hard time when they stand next to guys like Andrew and Samson not feeling like the taller man is the larger man.

I know there is more that goes into but just as an overall specimen the shorter guys don’t look as great next to a big guy as they do alone.

On another subject I was laughing at the slabs of meat that are Neckzillas quads. That dudes legs, even when just walking are just huge it’s crazy.
