I’ve had a great success doing trt and cycles with primo, tren, EQ, mast (not all together).. it seems I’m in the minority of those who can handle it and love it, but if someone doesn’t try will never know.
Just avoid the belly and do hips and glutes, if it creates a small bump it’s it a sign you can’t handle it. It’s just the depot, the same I guess happens inside the muscle but since it’s deeper we just don’t see it.
If it gives pain, redness and nasty uncomfortable stuff then obviously it’s not for you.
5/16 or 8mm I very much doubt it reaches the muscle even if you’re very lean lol. The subcutaneous region might be from 3 to 20 mm thick depending on the body part and body fat.
Also, personally I hate shallow IM shots. I’m either subc or 1 inch deep in every muscle. Shallow IM gives me pip.
