Yes, 100%, I also only use dumbbells because of shoulders now

Few updates for peeps still following along:

1. Weight up to ~220lbs AM, ~225lbs PM. May hit 230 before cut starts in December.

2. It turns out I am heavily iron deficient/anemic. I got a referral to a GI doc. I've been seeing blood in my stool + when I wipe so I think the antiplatelet meds are causing Occult GI Bleeding internally.

I supplement iron heavily, so something is very wrong.

3. Appointment with spine doctor tomorrow for herniations. Then in a few weeks, appointment w/ ortho surgeon for shoulder pain + other appointment w/ physiatrist for shoulder. All my shit is falling apart =(

4. I booked a 2nd DEXA scan for Dec 2nd to tell how much muscle/fat I gained going from 190 -> 220-225 these last 6-8 weeks.

Not enough people on forums get DEXA scans. If you want to know exactly how effective your cut/bulk was, shell out the $$$ and get an actual scan...

Yeah, I've just been accumulating wear and tear injuries over the decades of lifting -- especially from how I lifted when I was a teen

Hopefully they can sort out my back + shoulder

And yeah GH + Insulin made a huge difference, particularly Insulin.

Man, you're making me wanna try it lol. I have 5 weeks only left but in my next off season I'm gonna start using slin, I'm already at ~800 carbs and 8iu HGH i guess I'm screwing my bg and pancreas already without slin but whatever.

I stayed away mostly because i find it cumbersome to measure BG multiple times in a day until i find how i respond but eventually I'll have to make the jump too. Glad you enjoying it!

Wake, pin 5iu GH fasted
-> gym 1.5hrs
-> cardio 30m
-> Novolin-R 10iu
-> wait 30m for blood insulin to spike
-> Protein shake w/ 80g protein + 100g carbs

Do it! I can't imagine how huge + full you would get. I think 5 weeks is plenty of time, I am starting cut in 1 week and will only have used insulin for ~4-5 weeks total I think at that point.

That way you would know how you respond to it, for the next offseason too.

Honestly, I have not been measuring my BG, which is probably not ideal.

I just pin the 10iu fasted, and then take 80g protein + 100g carbs shake

Oh also, have you considered getting CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor)?

You only need to wear it for a week or so to get a sense of how you react to different meals + insulin. I got a lot of value out of doing this:

Nah, it's a nice tool for sure but i doubt I'll ever use it. I don't have a regular device yet as well, TBH if i had a bg measure device now I'd probably go to the pharmacy and buy some humalog haha

You can buy Humalog over the counter there? Jealous!

Yezzir, I'm an early morning person (wake up around 4-5AM usually) and I have no appetite

Go to gym early to get it done before work

I don't notice this impacting my strength at all. But my wife for example says she can't train without eating at least some small meal shortly before.
Yeah man I’m an afternoon lifter. I feel so much better after I have a few meals in me. Plus I’m not a morning person

Yeah i can buy slin, test, AI, ancillaries, antibiotics etc. I might go ask for a sleep med because I'm fcked lately, or a benzo..i don't know how that'll go though haha.

You can buy the device here too but AFAIK they require prescription for the strips. Maybe it's just a typical thing and i can grab them like the rest.
