Accutane permanent cure?

@Ghoul First off, thank you for so much insight. I just grabbed about 22grams total and will begin this in 26’. Prior you mentioned not to combine it with Doxy. Would this apply to topical clindamycin as well?

Topical is no risk. Even oral Doxycycline is used during Accutane treatment by some Derms who just monitor for the very rare brain pressure issues. I certainly wouldn’t though.

Ghoul, a quick question - I can start ivermectin the same time I start the isotret, right? No need to wait until I have completed the isotret course before nuking the demodex as well?

Correct. The only thing to consider is that demodex feed on sebum. You may want to wait until you dry out a little. Give it a couple of weeks after noticing dry skin, so there’s a better chance of full clearance with a population reduced by starvation first. Also, keep in mind, it’s passed from person to person (most of us get initially infected by parents). So try to get anyone else in the household to participate if you come into intimate contact with them or share (even washed) bedding.

curious if anyone has experienced a change in hair texture form isotret/accutane?
Absolutely much drier than usual.

I had this concern a bit ago and found that a lot of drs will prescribe it knowing you are on Accutane without concern. I asked (more than one, incidentally) and both basically said the odds are so low it's not worth the concern, but gave the standard 'If you notice any side effects, etc, stop immediately and give us a call.' routine.

I did run a short course of doxy then without issue, but was very much not thrilled about it given there were alternatives that would not come with the same risks, however low they are.

@Ghoul I'm a noob that needs to run a cycle of iso. Your posts have been invaluable. I bought the supply levels you recommended to hit my cumulative dosage. You mentioned cutting out vitamin A supplements, dumb question but I take a mult vitamin, should I stop taking that while running my iso cycle?

Thanks in advance.

The low levels of Vitamin A in a multi are no problem. The caution is with beta carotene and retinyl supplements.

Ghoul, before pulling the trigger, I decided to ask you a quick question - would you consider the manufacturing dates of 07/2025 and 09/2025 fresh enough? I just asked a source if their isotret is fresh, and those are the dates in which their Accufine is manufactured. Should I pull the trigger, or should I shop around for a fresher batch?

This was manufactured in May 2025 with an expiration of April 2027. If stored properly there shouldn’t be an issue.

Cumulative is weight based. When in doubt err on the high side and be done with it.

100kg. X 220mg =0.22mg =22000mg

It’s not like your eyeballs will fall out by going over because of weight fluctuations. The very highest levels in studies are 290mg / kg so there’s plenty of leeway, and imo, better to go over a bit, where permanent success is more likely than under, than risk having to go through it again down the road,

Intermittent on/off half assed doses are just courting failure and lengthening the amount of time sides have to be dealt with. Once and done should be the goal.
That's a lot of accutane? Like a box of 100x7.5mg is only 750mg? That's like 30 boxes.

Or is my math off lol

They come in 10, 20, 30 and 40 mg blister packs of 10. So 40 mg x 10 =400.

22,000 / 400 = 55 Blister packs, 10 packs in a box = 5.5 boxes if I bought all 40 mg blisters. But you wanna mix in some 20s and maybe 10s for titrating up.

Still that's a lot of accutane lol

Thank God I'm not susceptible to acne
