Old phart here and as I like to say ... not getting any younger.

I joined for knowledge not sources, so this post is not intended to unlock anything. I came here from the pep and amino side of of the world, so I can probably find things I might need. Regarding what those things are ... TBD and hence the interest.

I have fought obesity my entire life, and if you add up the total I've lost over the years, the number would be large. This time, with the assistance of GLP's, and the research road that took me down, I am confident things are different. I'm pretty close to the "goal" weight I set, but have come to realize my old beliefs of weight being an important number were the wrong outlook. I have begun to focus on "looks" more than "pounds", and really .... more importantly ... how I feel.

I have begun monitoring blood work, have become familiar with (but still green) on what those markers mean, and intend on improving and optimizing these internal statistics to the best of my ability. I'm not here to compete or become the next hulk, but plan on adding definition and more strength than say a typical human of my age. Will this transition into a desire to "keep going", perhaps, but that is not foremost in my mind. A lean, well defined physique, extra energy and cognitive enhancements are my goals. Better sleep is also at the top of the list.

I have been doing simple body weight exercises with a mix of cardio for about the past month. My son (who is a former athlete) is my "trainer". We have continually tried to increase demand, and I do feel as if additional strength and definition have been a result. Based on the buzz words I have learned, I'd guess you'd say I'm cutting.

So, why Meso? Again, because I want to learn how the various compounds I have seen discussed elsewhere actually work, their impacts on the body, and how (if at all) they might benefit my journey. The only one I'm currently evaluating is Test which I added based on what are generally considered normal bloods, but I and others feel are low. I have also been researching a blend of Tesa/IPA and completed a cycle of IPA/CJC about 2 months ago. I plan on finishing this current cycle, and abandoning these secretagogues for the real thing. How much and how often are TBD. I have been experimenting with Aminos PWO, and do find they provide additional help, even if only placebo. Other peps that are in use revolve around energy and cognitive function but probably should be discussed elsewhere. I am open to providing more details, especially if these may be helpful or even hinder something that may be recomended from this community.

Long story short ... I'm here for the knowledge and look forward to interacting allthough I typically don't post too often and when I do it's probably going to be word vomit .... see above. :)

Plenty of great info on here. Its where I cut my teeth and results have been excellent as long as you use your head. Slow and steady wins at older age.

I would say in terms of priorities, I would prioritize health > everything else. You seem to be figuring that our already. Looks arent so important. They will improve regardless if you get healthier.

If you have been working out a month, then what you are seeing is what is typically called "newbie gains." People who start working out typically see rapid gains in the 1st few months. This is very normal but eventually normalizes and thats when the men are separated from the boys. That will be your 1st real test and it will probably come in 6-12 months. You need to keep going even when gains slow, stagnate or even reverse.

Dont rely on "desire" to keep going. That may nor may not happen or worse, you may get depressed when you hit that first wall. Each person is different and this is what I meant by your 1st challenge. A responsible adult will keep going not because they like it or because of feels, but because its their responsibility to maintain their health. Sort of like having to go to work even when you dont want to. If you do that, you will be rewarded one way or another. At the very least your health will improve, and you will look better.

Best of luck on your journey.

Already on it with no apparent difference as of yet. A review of blood in about a month will be interesting.

Not as close as I'd like ..

I never felt an ounce of difference on any PED or peptide. Literally nothing. Not even at cycle doses of 750mg/wk test-c. So dont be surprised if thats your case. But the impact on your body is real nontheless. Your 1st clue will be how fast you recover from workouts. Suddenly, you may no longer get soreness and you will be able to workout daily like its nothing. Thats the PEDs doing their thing.

Thanks for this. I have always had a fairly decent ability to stick with things once I put my mind to it, and in this case I'm very determined. There is still a long way to go, and at this age life does tend to get in the way, but I can confidently say this time is different. I can feel it and see it even if the physical gains are are noobish.

My dose of Test-C is probably ridiculously low at this point and based on dosing graphs I have seen should even be broken up into multiple times per week. That said, I'm only taking 25mg 1x weekly. My next idea is to increase this to 3x weekly. I did try some TNE as a PWO last week, and it was one of the better workouts I have had.

With the body weight stuff I have been doing, I have really had zero soreness. This just tells me I haven't been working hard enough, long enough, or often enough. Baby steps for this ol' man.

.........you have to do more than just inject drugs and fart around in the living room dude

Good. You aren't doing anything that requires it. So it doesn't matter how low it is.

You have to do a workout for it to be considered a pre-workout. You are just using drugs dude.

This just tells me I haven't been working hard enough, long enough, or often enough.
jesus fckn christ you are literally at step zero, and already looking for reasons to stick a needle in yourself

Baby steps for this ol' man.

Using anabolics as preworkout for workouts that don't exist isn't baby steps. It's lunacy.

Get a clue dude

Go train hard for 3 years then come back

I started similar. Slow and steady to make sure my body didnt react negatively. I upped it every other week. Still felt nothing but I pulled bloods to check T and E2 levels and both were climbing. Make sure to check your bloods after a month or so to see where you land. This is double important for us old farts. Always check lipids too if you have issues there.

Yeah .. I got a full panel before starting so I have a good baseline. Lipids were all good which was nice to see based on past results.

How did you come up with 25mg per week? Exogenous test at almost any level will shut down your natural production, so it’s possible to take an amount that lowers your testosterone levels. 25mg per week seems likely to be counterproductive. Different for everyone but I think more like 60-75mg per week is typical to get to mid-normal for an older guy.

Below that and there’s pretty good chance you are shutting down your own test production and replacing it with a lesser amount.

Thanks for the nudge and info. I just reviewed my notes which I compiled based on info from a few different places. I do have 3x/wk written. I F'd up putting it on my calendar. I have corrected this and am happy to report I just started week 2 last Friday. Appreciate your comment!
