Hello everyone, I wanted to share this article with you. This is a simple way to bulk up in a healthy and effective manner. This will also be of help to noobs who buy weight gainers that are filled with sugar and loaded with cholesterol and empty calories. You guys all know in the beginning we all fell for those hyped up useless fat producing weight gainers, so don't even try it.:) I personally use this when bulking. Enjoy:
The Home Made Weight Gainer Is The Answer! Here's what you will need:

-Three-four large 1 L water bottles
-A blender
-Couple bags of frozen berries from Costco
-A tub of natural peanut butter
-A tub of protein powder
-A few bags of low fat milk
-10 minutes of your day

No, you are not mixing all these ingredients exactly but you can mix the following:

1-3 cups of low fat milk 300 calories
1-2 cups of mixed berries 200 calories
40-60 grams of protein powder 160-240 calories
1-2 tbsp of natural peanut butter 200 calories

As you can see, this adds up quickly to over 800 clean calories and they are all healthy foods. You will notice that these shakes have no junk sugars and no 'bad' fats. So for all those whiners who complain that they can't get enough food each day throw that excuse out the window. You now have a solution.

If calorie counting is not your thing than simply monitor the number of cups, scoops and tbsp. I would suggest starting with portion sizes of 1 for everything while the 40-60 grams of protein always is consistent i.e. 1 cup, 1 scoop and and 1 tbsp of the above ingredients and than build to two and and three where recommended. Hope this is of help everyone. P.S. I also buy a bag of mixed fruit for variety.:)

Maybe next time I'll include the word (STEROIDS!!!) in the title to get someone's attention:(

Looks like protein powder with a few berries and a bit of peanut butter, not exactly a revolutionary bulking meal ;)

looks like a lot of protein roby and could replace all tht milk with some real food but its a good start.
thats a good bulker jastice, i always wondered how you could get tuna down you quickly without gagging:D

heres the bulkers ive come up with in the past when i was eating and lifting.

1 large banana 90 cals
1 scoop nutopia whey protein 140 cals
2 tspoons natty peanut butter 200
60g of raw oats 200
1 cup of skimmed milk 70

700 cals

i use to have this for breakfast along with 3 whole eggs:)

if you like nuts, heres a super quick fix for easy cals

source a bag of grounded almonds (Make sure there grounded)

100g grounded almonds
1 scoop of whey powder
300ml skimmed milk

pour 300ml simmed milk into a shaker, then the almonds and protein and shake it all up, dont put the almonds in first as they will stick to the bottom and throw down the hatch

100g almonds = 620 cals
1 scoop whey powder = 140 cals
300ml milk = around 80 cals

840 cals:)

It wasn't meant to be revolutionary jasthace just an alternative to unhealthy weight gainers or a simple way to get more clean calories into your protein shake.:)

If you want extra calories put some oil in the drink, use rapeseed oil ( in 100g it's 10,7g omega-3 and only only 7g is saturated fat)

This is a good thread started ....lets talk about what type of (brand name)protien is best to buy,so we do not purchase sugar and unwanted calories.....And jast..you sure you cant taste the tuna????

This is not the shake I'm using at the moment but Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard seems to have a solid profile: 100% Whey Gold Standard provides more whey protein isolates (WPI) - the purest and most expensive source of whey protein available.

# Higher protein percentage. ON's 100% Whey Gold Standard has always been a leader in this respect. Now with 24 grams of protein in just slightly over one-ounce serving, it's nearly 79% protein by weight!Calories 120

This shake is low in cholesterol and low in sugar, also contains the EAA'S we need. One that I recommend can be found for a reasonable price at costco E.A.S. 6lbs bag $33.99 this shake contains 27 grams of protein per scoop also low in carbs and sugar, taste is also not bad.:)

a good whey powder: smartec wheyFX, tastes out of this world, very low in lactose and provides 26g protein per 33g serving

as for a weight gainer (and the only half clean one ive ever come across) is boditronics Nu-topia, low in lactose, low in carbs and the best bit is its thinner than water as no thickening sugars are added to it so it doesnt cause any bloat either, Great product and i know 2 contest BBuilders who use it for quality calories
