King said it would take a while when I talked to him about it. Basically I got the first 2 tenths of a cc in pretty easy but then I started getting resistance. So what I did was count to ten and then push until I hit resistance again.
I know it seems kind of extreme but the spanking my quad is giving me is making me a little timid.
What should it be JB I think you mentioned a minute or so?
Not push back, but a lot of pressure. In other words, the plunger will move a tenth and then it is almost like its clogged. That's when I count to ten and push and it'll give a little and then act the same way.
It shouldn't take minutes. Awhile meaning 30 seconds or longer perhaps even a minute. I push really slow on my slins but it shouldn't take minutes. I dont know what could cause you that much pressure/resistance.
How long did yours last, what are you pinning and what symptoms did you have?
Mine lasted about 1.5 days. was a sore throat and the hot and cold flashes. Just felt kind shitty for those 1.5 days. When it cleared up i felt great though.
King,
First and foremost, I apologize that I misquoted you. I guess I'll try it again on Friday. I've got minor PIP from it but it's so much better then what I went through with my quad. I just don't to force the oil in there and create a problem that way. I'll try to make sure the needle stays still. Maybe it was a fluke?
Tao are you heating the oil?
What gauge slin?
Sorry if you've already posted this...
I heat and use 28g and have only had a tougher time pushing it through when I pin cold oil. Like 50-60 degrees in the house and didn't warm it up.
Please tell me you're not pinning your quad any longer. If you're still experiencing PIP i would switch to glute, preferably lateral glutes (what people round here call ventrolateral glutes, which is funny and incorrect but whatever). You can look it up on youtube its easy to find and should diminish th PIP considerably.
Personally I think the oil is actually too hard to push thru a 29.
But I don't heat it.
Also quads still my favorite place to pin!
You may have hit a vien or something nasty just my .02
That's usually the difference between a bad and good pin
Have you ever tried drawing on the plunger before injecting? If you see any significant amount of blood. Start over brother.
Yes, I always pull back and the only time I hit a vein I knew right away. Talk about a self correcting problem. I appreciate the concern though. I want to find three different sites. I've got delts and glutes...
If by glutes you mean dorsal gluteal, go for the ventrogluteal too. It's a little weird, but it's damn painless, and the PIP is manageable anyways just because of what muscle it is. Worst case scenario it's a little stiff crossing your legs.
